Chapter 1 - The Piano

*Clay's pov*

You chilled in your bed, hearing the screams downstairs from your mom. She is complaining again about how irresponsible we are and that we never help doing some household stuff. Meanwhile you try not to laugh that tears start rolling all over your checks.

Your door opens and you saw Luis your older brother sneaks into your room and also try's not to laugh. He sat down next to you and irritated our mom in the funniest grimaces.
Later a message pops up on your phone and when you checked who is writing you, you saw 'Mary Goore' as name.

Immediately a smile came on your face when you opened you phone and went on the chat from you and Tobias.

Mary Goore:
"Hey Clay, im bored. Do you want to come over to my place?"

Clay:
"Hey Mary Goore, sure. Why not? I just need to get dressed!"

Mary Goore:
"Can you stop calling me like that! Your mean! XD but why are you
naked? (~•_~•)"

Clay:
"Im not naked! Gosh... im just wearing my pj... see you in 30..."

Mary Goore:
"Ok. See you!"

After turning your phone off you went to your closet and searched something nice to wear. "Does someone have a date?" Your brother smirked from your bed. "No, I'm just meeting Tobias." You said annoyed while sliding the hangers from left to right. "This Tobias, is this your boyfriend? You always meet him and smiling when you think of him." With a confused face, you saw over to your brother. "You gotta be kidding me?! No he's not. He just make me forget and regenerate from this psycho home.. he's the only true friend that I can trust with my soul.. can you leave now? I want to get changed.."

Your brother stand up coming closer to you. "Don't be mad at me.. I was just wondered.. I'm your older brother.. I'm the one protecting you, even from this psycho house and I try my best. Just.. don't do something you will regret at the end.. you know I love you Clay." He saw deep in your eyes that you just hug him thigh. "I know, and I do to. But now leave!" He sighed while you both laugh before he left your room.

He was absolutely right. He protect you from this psycho house. As kid your life wasnt that easy and it will hunting you down till forever. Your brother was like your protection sign when your mom tries to hit you again out of nowhere so you cant stop thanking him for this.

He even tries to kill himself. In the earlier time when you were little you saw him in the kitchen and was just about to put a huge knife into is chest.
He felt guilty for that so he never tries it again and start protecting you that you dont end like that.

You quickly came out of your room running downstairs. "Im at Tobias... I dont know when I'll be back!" Your mom couldn't say something else while you were already out of the house.

You jumped on your bike and pushed hard into the pedals driving down the street, the sun was burning and you were quickly out of breath.

After you reaced Tobias house and also cursed why Tobias had to live on a mountain you rested your bike somehow near the door and rang on it. Your chest moves up and down in an unryhmic pace.

Tobias mom opened the door and let you enter. "Hey Sweetheart, it's so cool that you visited us again! Tobias must be in his room." She hugged you before you went up to tobias Room.

You knocked and entered his room. "Why are you so early?? Can you wait outside till I finish cleaning my room?" He said shyly while you laughed. "I'm the last one carrying about your dirty room. So.. what are we gonna do?" You placed yourself on his comfy bed. "I wanted to show you something! I didnt text it you because I though that I at least have enough time than to clean my room before you would arrive.."

He stepped aside and a brand new piano that you didn't recognize earlier shows up.

"You buyed a piano?!" "Yeah.. you want to test it?" He smiled. You quickly stand up and went on the piano. When you sat down in front of the piano you smashed some piano keys that weird noises filled his room and Tobias laugh even more. By just pressing these keys, you immediately felt happier.

He sat down next to you helping you with your fingers. He placed his hands above yours and played with them one of your favorite song. "I want to give you some practice lessons, I know how badly you want to play it and I also now that your mom would never buy you a piano.. or even let you play any kind of instruments." he speaks slowly.

He speaks facts.. you wanted to play piano since you now him. So you wanted to play piano since you were little. You always said that playing piano is so hot and so beautiful but the main reason was him. Tobias. You wanted to play piano like a pro so you can join Tobias Band, because he always dreamed of it and let you experience his dream with you since you were like friendship soulmates.

You were always jealous in a way that it wasn't even jealousy. Tobias parents were so chilly.. they helped him by everything. He wanted to play guitar, they buyed him one and gave him some lessons. He want to play in a band, they rent a studio for him.
But he never stated with that.

Your parents are the completely opposite. They don't even allow you listening to music.. so you don't need to ask for a piano.
This is also the reason you think about running away from this home sometimes. Tobias and his mom know that living there isn't always easy so they became like your family and give you the love you deserve.

You hugged Tobias tight with small tears in your eyes. „Thanks you. That means so much to me. Can I somehow give something back to you?" "Clay... don't cry... you gave enough to me. You were that friend that always was there when I was alone. You were the one that helped me with the Band not to give up. So I must be the one giving something back to you. This is why I'll start give you piano lessons. But I also have to get along with this new thing.." he laughed that made your heart melt from sweetness.

"So.. now... your first lessons.." he focused on the piano and explain the main things to you.

It was dark outside when you saw out of the window again. You tried to play your first song while you head is rested on Tobias shoulder.

"Yeah Clay! You did it! Im so proud of you!"
