Chapter 28

Back again, you could work on your strength. Punctually at 3 p.m. you then set out to go into the forest, as you always do. Today was somehow a strange day. The forest told you funny stories that didn't even have a context.

You sent your wind through the forest to see if something was going on and he could look for the right, but he just didn't come back.

Sunshine managed to somehow lure Fire out of the church without him asking any questions about what was going on. They were just walking in the middle of the woods and just talking. It was a little cloudy outside, but it was still a nice walk. "And how are you doing Fire? We haven't been alone in a long time..." Sunshine interrupted the silence. "Good... very much so..." "uhh... why is that? Do you have a lady in your sights? Maybe Air?" grinned Sunshine, pecking him in the side as he looked sheepishly at the ground. "No.. No way... after Faire I need a break. I'm just glad right now that we don't have to hurt Air anymore or anything."

Sunshine was about to say something when she saw two tall and unfamiliar figures coming closer and closer when Fire saw them too. A violent gust of wind blew through the trees, which was gone right away as they were almost knocked down by it. "Shit that's Abacus and Sabacus... we're screwed..." screamed Sunshine as she finally recognized the unknown figures. "Ok... maybe I lied to you and I'm in love with Air... well.... RUNN!"

Hectically they tried to get a distance from the most dangerous figures from hell.

Finally you felt your wind coming back. "Fire and Sunshine are in danger," it blew past your ear. Goosebumps came over you from what the wind just told you. "Take me to them now!" the wind started to take you in the direction of Fire and Sunshine, while you grew at least twice as big as Mountain and you turned into a wolf. One day, in the forest, you once read that the Chosen, when they become very strong, have an animal, in their hearts and it is always with them. First you were confused by this until you realized that it is you who is always with you.

With quick steps you ran through the forest looking for them, hoping you wouldn't be too late. "Who is threatening them anyway?" you asked your wind. "Abacus and Sabacus. They just ran away from them when I got there, but you made it right away." "Fuck... why even them... I hope I even manage to defeat them before they do it to me and my friends."

A short time later you could feel them and then see them. You were afraid for them when you saw one of them have Fire and throw him through the air. A painful twinge spread through your heart as you heard Fire cry out in pain, which made you even more angry and thirsty to kill the two brothers, even though you probably wouldn't stand a chance.

Once there, you knocked Abacus right off Fire and bit him as hard as you could. Abacus yelped in jest as you sent his left hand through the air, which landed somewhere in the bushes. You were sure that you had hurt him enough that you could turn to Sabakus first. He no longer had Sunshine but now you in his sights, because you have just almost defeated his brother, which he did not like so much.

You didn't realize how fast Sabakus was at you when he already had you and threw you through the air. At some point you flew against a fat tree trunk, which hurt like hell. You tried to get up, but it was no use. The pain flowed through your whole body and blocked everything.

You were ready to give up. There was no chance that you could kill the brothers. One last time you looked over at Fire and Sunshine as you saw Fire looking at you with pained eyes and tears coming from his eyes. "Please... don't give up!" you heard him whisper, when a short time later you saw a shadow above you and already the bad smell of Sabacus.

He grabbed you by the neck and pushed you against the tree where you just flew against. "Do you see that? Do you see what you've done!? I'll do that to you in a minute, but first it's their turn!" First he showed the weak Abacus as he pointed to Fire and Sunshine under the bush.

Again he slammed you against the tree, but this time with your head. You yowled briefly while your whole head vibrated. Slowly he came closer to your friends. "No... please... leave us alone!" Sunshine called sadly and scared.

Even though your whole body hurt, you gathered the last of your strength and bit Sabacus' leg. He cried out as he fell on his back and you took the chance to bite his jugular. He grabbed around your neck again, but your grip loosened until he passed out.

You thought it was over and that you had eliminated them, but Abacus managed with his last strength to ram his knife into your shoulder. Out of sheer rage, you took him in your mouth and flung him through the against before separating his upper body from his lower body.

A silence broke out in the forest as you heard soft sobbing. Under the bushes, Sunshine sat with the unconscious Fire in her arms. "He...he's dying soon...please...help me! I can't let him just die in my arms!"" she pleaded with you. "I'll take you to the church." you said as you put them on your back and ran as fast as you could. All your pain was forgotten, even the knife in your shoulder, or that you were about to pass out. There was only one pain for you right now. Fire.
