Chapter 49

Everyone ran straight to him, while you knelt in front of him and still didn't know what was going on. How did Faire get up to his rooms? Why does Faire suddenly have a well-trained strength now?

Fire knelt on the floor with panic written all over his face. Everyone was trying to talk to him, but he was caught up in his own panic and was sinking deeper and deeper into it, so he didn't hear you.

You put his hand in yours and used your strength to calm him down a little. You felt your heart stop, you only had his hand in your hand, but so much panic flowed over to you when you saw in your eyes how Faire was suddenly at his window and looked at him with fiery eyes.

That was the only way you managed to calm him down, but he was breathing fast as he clawed frantically at Papas legs. Fire still had a slight trace of panic, which made you feel the same pain you experienced when Abacus and Sabacus attacked.

This girl.. you must put an end to. Now.

Without saying anything, you got up, ran out of the dining hall, and ran to the main door. "AICE NO!!!" shouted Terzo after you, but by then you were already outside, standing on the large area in front of the church while trying not to fly away from the wind. But the wind died down drastically as Faire lined up with their followers a little further away from you.

A feeling came up in you that maybe you were stupid to have just run out when you saw how many there were, but when you thought of Fire again and what he had just said, you were ready to kill them all and have their arms between your teeth.

With angry eyes she looked at you as if she already wanted to kill you with her gaze, while you withstood her gaze the whole time and aggressively made your hands into fists. "Oh look who we have here...half the wind...do you finally know which way to blow wind? Get back in there and bring me out someone better to fight." She laughed as she high-fived with her followers.

Didn't she realize you were a chosen one? Don't they get news in prison?

"What are you doing here?" you called to her as you had to pull yourself together not to let your wolf out, only to surprise them all at the perfect moment. "I just came to get Fire, since I'm not allowed to take him away so easily, we'll just have to fight and now go in and bring out someone better." she explained to you completely conceitedly, while she didn't notice you one bit or wanted to.

"If you want to have MY boyfriend, you'll have to get past me first!" you yelled to her with as much hatred in the intonation as you could embody right now. Her face was ignorantly and horrified at first, but then changed to one of triumph.

"Okay. Why not...two dead people I absolutely can't stand, even better. Bring Fire out to me, let him watch me slowly put my sword through your heart before it's his turn. That way he'll know what to expect." So you both automatically agreed to fight.

Fire came out after a short wait with his tail tucked and his legs wobbly, looking like he would rather be passed out than instead of standing straight here. At least he didn't look so panicked anymore, more scared of what you just got yourselves into.

Faire set certain rules and so Fire then stood a little apart from the church. "May the better woman, aka me, keep Fire!" Faire shouted as you stood to your position. "P-p-please...can't you d-do this in a d-different way..." resounded Fire's nervous voice through your head but there was no stopping you. Your tail was wagging aggressively behind you when you were so ready.

"One minute and that's it for you," she grinned the last time she sent her followers after you. You also started running and there came your moment. Every step you ran, you grew bigger and bigger, until finally you were a wolf and already threw her first follower through the air with your paw.

They hung on your back for a short time, but these pendants were already lying in pieces on the edge or were stabbed by the sharp tombstones. So then all their pendants were quickly eliminated, only one is missing.

Faire was still standing in the same spot where she had just been with her pendants when she looked at you in panic. Slowly you came closer to her while showing her your bloodied teeth with a growl, where she might be about to hang inside. "W-what are you?" she said in a shaky voice as she began to take steps backwards.

She was only a casual leap away from you as you caught up in seconds after she tried to run away. So you started to jump and glided through the air when you already opened your claws.

But at that moment, she turned to you and you saw a black fireball-like ball with an aggressive fog, which flew towards you as she shot it at you.

This mist hit you right in the heart, causing a hellish pain inside you and you immediately started screaming in pain. You seem to have knocked Faire away a bit, as you flew convulsing to the ground where she just ran, which is why she flew against a tombstone.

It felt like someone was shooting you all over your body and you really thought it was over with you now. This pain made you float in another world, that you didn't know what was going on anymore. You didn't even realize that you were lying on the floor convulsing and just howling the whole time.

Still, you didn't want to give up so easily now, you can't let her win that she can take your Fire. You tried to cope with the pain but your legs, your arms, your head... everything was so painful that the pain still made you like on drugs.

You felt her approaching on wobbly legs, struggling herself. She then stood in front of you, while you looked at her with painful eyes, to which she could only laugh. "I will always be stronger than you...how long I have waited to finally give you what you deserve. FIRE NOW LOOK AT ME KILLING YOUR GIRLFRIEND IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES!" shouted Faire as she said the last sentence with so much glee that she had to laugh deeply from her soul.

She began to raise her sword, reflecting the sun inside, as she began to lunge, and was about to ram it down your throat.
