(Lukas's POV)
Today is Christmas Eve and I was excited to finally head over Jesse's place. Jesse and the rest of the gang had decided to throw a Christmas Eve bash, before the big day. Jesse offered for me to stay with him after the party because he had a "special surprise" he wanted to show me. I accepted the offer because I needed to show him something.

And what is it you may ask. Well I have been keeping a secret from the gang for a while now. And that secret was that I had fallen for someone. And who is that you may ask. Well it's none other than the fearless leader himself, Jesse. You see I started having feelings the moment I first laid my eyes on him. These feelings began to get stronger over time. I thought that I should finally tell him, but I had no clue when I would do so. That is until Jesse invited me to stay at his place. I thought that maybe if we were alone, he wouldn't feel pressured to answer. I blushed a bit as I thought of what I was going to say. I shook the thought out of my head and finished packing. I ran downstairs and rushed out the front door. I saddled my horse and hopped on. I rode off to Jesse's as quick as I could.

About an hour later I arrived at Jesse's place. I got off my horse and tied the reins to the fence in front of the house. I pat my horse before walking to the front door. I gave the door a light and brisk knock before Jesse answered the door.

"Oh Lukas, hi. I didn't expect to see you here so early," he said shocked.

"Heh- sorry. I thought I'd get here early to help you set up," I quickly responded.

"Well that's thoughtful of you," he said nervously scratching the back of his head. "The guest room is down the hall to the right if you'd like to put your stuff in there."

He pointed to where the guest room was. I quickly went in and put my stuff down. I ran out of the room looking for Jesse. I found him in the kitchen flipping through a recipe book. I went up behind him yelling "boo" and grabbing his shoulders. He screamed and turned around.

"Gotcha," I chuckled.

He blushed and punched my shoulder. His face was bright red. I gave him a hug, and he hugged me back. When we pulled away from the hug, he looked up at me and asked.

"Do you mind helping me put up some decorations?"

"Sure thing," I said patting him on the back.

He ran to the storage room and got a ladder and some lights. He set up the ladder and took one end of the lights up with him. I held up the rest of the lights so that he didn't have to pull as hard to get them up to where he needed to put them. While we were stringing the lights, his foot gradually started to wander towards the edge of the step. After five more minutes of stringing up the lights, his foot finally gave out, and he fell. I caught in a bridal style sort of hold.

"Heh- thanks, Lukas," he said blushing a bit.

"No problem," I responded blushing a bit myself.

I set him down, and he stood up. He placed his right leg on the floor and immediately took it back up again. He yelped in pain before taking his shin in his hands. He began to bounce a bit as I steadied him.

"Are you ok?!" I panicked.

"Yeah I'm just fine. I think it's just a strain," he said trying to comfort me.

I picked him up and brought him to the couch. I sat him down so that his back was in the arm of the couch and his legs were on the length. I got a pillow and put it under his right leg.

"Where do you keep your first aid kit?" I asked.

He pointed me in the direction of the bathroom. I quickly ran and got the first aid kit, rushing back immediately. I crouched on the floor opening the kit. I took out an ace bandage and took off his shoe. He hissed in pain as I took off his shoe. I rolled up his jeans and wrapped his right ankle up to his mid shin. I then took out an instant ice pack and cracked it. I put it directly on his ankle and sat with him for a few minutes. I rubbed his shoulder to comfort him.
