(Em's POV)
Finally, I was able to go home, after years of being trapped at the Games. Jesse and the group had somehow managed to beat Hadrian and Mevia at their own game and banish them from our world. It felt nice, knowing that I could go home to my friends and family. But there was this weird feeling. What if my friends and family don't remember me? What if I get bored of farming?I sighed as I walked through the long hallway. I watched as other competitors were heading back to their home worlds without a second thought or doubt in mind. I looked down as I continued walking. I somehow made my way back to the stairway where Jesse's group had been talking to Otto. When Otto walked away, Jesse turned to me and asked,
"Aren't you wanting to go home, too?"
I sighed, "Yeah, but I'm having second thoughts. I mean, I miss my friends and family, but what if I get bored?"
Jesse pondered that for a moment before responding, "Why don't you come with us?"
"Really? Like really?!" I asked excitedly.
Jesse nodded, "Of course, we could always use someone as awesome as you on the team."
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I exclaimed, giving Jesse a crushing hug.
Jesse chuckled hoarsely, "You're welcome."
I let go of him and made my way over to Otto to let him know the good news. I finally was able to find him after a little while of looking around the portals. He was standing in front of an unfamiliar portal. It was a quartz and obsidian frame with a dark purple aura. He sighed and bowed his head in sorrow. I knew why, so I put a comforting hand on his shoulder. This startled him a bit, causing him to jump slightly.
"Otto, calm down. It's only me," I reassured him.
Otto took a deep breath before turning to face me. For a such a significantly older man, he was fairly short. Either that, or I was just abnormally tall for a young woman my age.
"You really need to warn me next time you do that," Otto said.
I rolled my eyes playfully, "Or you just need to loosen up a bit. You're always so tense."
"I guess so, huh? Anyways, what did you come here for?" Otto asked.
Em scratched the back of my neck nervously, "Well, I was hoping I could maybe go with Jesse back to their world. But only if you are okay with that of course!"
Otto chuckled, "Em, I'm not the boss of you. All I want is for you to be happy, and if going with Jesse makes you happy, then go for it."
"But what if you need help with the Games?" I asked.
"That's what Slab and the others are for. If you're worried about that, you can drop by whenever you want to visit," Otto answered.
I sighed, "Are you sure?"
Otto nodded, "I'm positive, now come. We should get you and Jesse's group back to their world."
I nodded and followed him back over to where the group was. When I got over there, I noticed that 'Axel' guy blushing a bit as he stared at me. I didn't let it bother me because I'm already used to men staring at me all the time.
After Otto gave Jesse the Atlas, Jesse opened it up and weird golden symbols came out from the book. The symbols made a beeline straight to Jesse's portal. I ran behind the group as we gathered in front of the portal. The next thing I knew, we had went though the portal and landed in the New Order's temple. I looked around with my jaw practically hitting the floor.
"Woah," I said in awe.
"Pretty sweet, huh?" Axel asked with a slightly amused tone.
I nodded, "This is impressive. I've never seen anything like this before."
