(Jesse's POV)
This week had been very stressful. I had been helping with many builds around Beacontown and just needed a break. I was lying in bed after a long day of observing builds in the city. I wanted to talk to my friends because we haven't spoken in a while, and I was starting to feel lonely. I opened up the group chat and started typing.Jesse: Hey guys, I know we haven't talked in a while and I just want to know how you all are doing.
Olivia: Sorry, can't talk. I'm helping Ellegaard with a redstone project.
Lukas: Yeah, I'm really busy with my writing.
Axel: Magnus and I are observing a fireworks display for Explosives Week. Maybe later.
Petra: I'm with Jack and we are about to start exploring a huge woodland mansion. I won't be able to talk either.
After a couple of minutes of rereading those messages, I sighed and placed my phone on my nightstand. Ever since we all found the things we love to do, we haven't made time for just one adventure with all of us. Instead, we have been growing distant from each other, only keeping contact for special events such as Founding Day. It's making me feel like I did something wrong to them. I decided to take a nap to get my mind off of everything.
When I woke up, I looked at the clock and saw I had slept the entire day away, and it was now the next day. I had slept for about seventeen hours. I picked up my phone, and there were no messages from my so called 'friends'. I had nothing on my to-do list for today, so I decided to tale today off to just walk around the town and enjoy the view.
As I was walking around the city, I remembered that I needed to head to the market for food and household supplies. As I was waling through the market, I bumped into someone and elegantly falling onto my butt. The person turned around and looked down at me.
"Oh I'm sorry, here let me help you there," the man said extending out his hand to help me up.
I gratefully accepted his help and grabbed his hand. He quickly pulled me up and I wobbled a bit. He grabbed my hips to help me steady myself before chuckling. I blushed a bit when he chuckled. Darn my clumsy ass.
"Thanks," I said, scratching the back of my neck.
The guy chuckled, "It's fine. Just watch your step next time, cutie."
I started blushing a little more when he said that. I tried to laugh it off, awkwardly. I looked up at him again. He seemed like a nice guy. Maybe, I should ask him if we can be friends. I should introduce myself first though.
"My name's Jesse. What's yours?" I started.
"Romeo, my name is Romeo," he replied.
I started again, "Well, Romeo, would you like to be friends? Maybe get to know each other a bit more?"
Romeo nodded, "Of course, cutie. Why don't we hang out today? You know, like a nice walk around town."
"Sounds good, want to meet up by the amulet beacon?" I asked.
"Sure thing, cutie. See you then," he said before walking off.
I shook my head, still feeling a bit of heat on my cheeks from blushing. I went to the counter and paid before walking back home to sort out my groceries.
Later that day, I went out to meet Romeo at the amulet beacon. Sure enough, he was there sitting on one of the benches nearby. I walked over and sat down next to him, to which he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me into a side hug. I sighed as I leaned my head on his shoulder. We both watched and the sunset fell over the peaks in the distance.
