Sometimes I feel like a shadow
Invisible and silent
No one sees me or hears me
I'm just a passing presence
Sometimes I feel like an island
Isolated and distant
No one comes near me or touches me
I'm just a lonely existence
Sometimes I feel like a star
Dim and faint
No one notices me or admires me
I'm just a speck in the vastness
But then I remember that I'm not alone
There are others who feel the same
There are others who share my pain
There are others who understand me
And I remember that I have a voice
That can speak and sing
That can express and create
That can inspire and connect
And I remember that I have a heart
That can love and be loved
That can feel and heal
That can hope and dream
So I don't feel alone anymore
I feel alive and free
I feel valued and worthy
I feel happy and grateful
