This poem is about someone who regrets not spending enough time with their loved one before they died. They wish they had five more minutes to express their feelings and say goodbye. They are left with sadness and loneliness, and only memories of their past.

If only I had five more minutes

To say the things I left unsaid

To feel your warmth and touch your skin

To whisper how I love you so

If only I had five more minutes

To make up for the time I lost

To smile with you and hold you close

To share with you the light of day

If only I had five more minutes

To look into your eyes and hear your voice

To thank you for the gift you were

To bid farewell before you go

If only I had five more minutes

But time is harsh and fate is blind

You slipped away before I could

And left me with a shattered soul

If only I had five more minutes

But minutes are just fantasies

You're gone for good and I'm alone

And all I have are memories.
