We speak across the void of space
But never touch or meet face to face
We share our thoughts and dreams and fears
But never wipe away each other's tears
We live in different worlds apart
But feel a connection in our heart
We wonder what the other looks like
But never see the sparkle in their eye
We long to bridge the gap between
But know it's only in our mind's screen
We hope to find a way someday
But never know if we'll be okay.
