This poem is about someone losing their wife but then sees them in the afterlife when they die.

I lost you too soon, my love, my life

You left me alone in this world of strife

I missed you every day and every night

You were my guiding star, my shining light

But I never gave up hope, my dear, my sweet

I knew that one day we would again meet

In the afterlife, where there is no pain

Where we could be together and happy again

And when my time came, I felt no fear

I knew you were waiting for me somewhere near

I closed my eyes and let go of my breath

And felt your embrace as I crossed over death

Now we are reunited, my soul, my heart

And nothing can ever tear us apart

We live in bliss in the heavenly realm

You are my king and I am your queen.
