This poem is about a mother becoming a ghost and watching her child grow up.

I left this world too early

But you were not left behind

I became a spirit in the sky

And watched you from my mind

I witnessed your first steps and words

Your smiles and your cries

Your triumphs and your struggles

Your dreams and your goodbyes

I longed to hug you and kiss you

But I was bound by fate

I murmured that I love you

But you could not feel my breath

I'm proud of who you've become

And all that you've achieved

You're my shining star

My darling child, my sweet

I'll always be beside you

In spirit and in soul

Until the day we'll reunite

And never let go.
