Peter

I tapped my fingers impatiently as I sat outside of the same room Y/n put me in yesterday. As upsetting as it was that she actually fainted from her injury, considering all the pain she had managed before, it was good.

Tony was able to put on his metal glove from his suit and carefully take her into the medical room. It was just a matter of keeping her sedated so she didn't wake up and kill one of us. My spine shivered as I remembered the dream. Every part of me wanted to help her, but what could I do?

I was interrupted from my thoughts as the door to her room opened. Tony released a peaceful sigh as he shut the door behind him.

"Is she okay?" I asked, standing up straight from where I was leaning against the wall.

"She's sedated with enough anesthesia to put an elephant on the ground," He spoke. "But she's okay." He added after seeing my worried look. "Dr. Banner was able to bandage up her arm, get some medications and fluids in her, and draw some blood. I need you to take this beaker and collect a sample of the sludge she upchucked.

I took the small vial from his hands as he held it out, and nodded. Basically running to the cell, I felt a weight on my chest seeing all of the damage she did to try and get out.

Creeping into the opened cell, I crouched low and scooped as much of the vomit as I could. Gags spurted from my mouth as black, gushy clots stuck to the ground. This came out of her?!

I hurried up with the task before running back to Tony, who was still standing outside of the room. He took it from me and opened the door, walking in with out another word. I caught the door quickly before he could close it.

"Is there anything else I can do to help?" I asked. He looked behind him into the room before looking back at me. He had some thought behind his eyes and it almost looked like sympathy. He opened the door back wide and jerked his head to invite me in.

As I stepped past him and into the room, I immediately searched for her on the table. She was laying there, the most peaceful I had seen her since she was sick at home nearly a year ago. I walked closer to her and couldn't help but let a tear fall.

Her eyes were closed lightly and her breathing was even. Her muscles were relaxed and Bruce even managed to wipe some of the blood and dirt off of her visible skin. Her hair laid gently over the table and was a bit matted and dirty, but she still looked as beautiful as ever.

(If you don't have hair: Her fingernails had collected what I was hoping was dirt, but I knew better because of the red. Despite the fact of what it was, she still looked as beautiful as ever)

"Oh Y/n..." I let out a sob as I got closer to her. I held my hand up, wanting to caress her thinning out cheek but coiled them back as I remembered what she could do to me without even trying. They gave me a few moments to admire her before I eventually broke the silence.

"I had a nightmare last night. Y/n and I were in this weird basement looking place. I was stuck in place just watching her cry. This guy came from behind her and when he touched her shoulder, it was like she exploded with that yellow stuff." They both watched me again.

"Then what happened?" Bruce was intrigued.

I had to take a few seconds to speak, the dream was so realistic and vivid.

"She told me to help her, and attacked me. Then I just woke up." I finished.

Bruce rubbed his jaw as Tony spoke up.

"Tell Peter about your epiphany"

"It was too strange to me that she could touch Vision. It didn't sit right that she, as well as Wanda, are the only ones who can hurt him while he is fazed." Dr. Banner began to explain. "Not to mention the fact that this mental and emotional control thing isn't as new to us as we thought. So, I had this gut feeling to compare the ooze from their interaction to Vision's essence itself."

"The scepter" Tony spoke up, connecting the dots for me. I threw him a confused look that he ignored completely.

"It was a match." Bruce stated. Tony looked at him as if everything had clicked.

"Kid, what happened the night she disappeared?" Tony asked me.

"I- I don't know!" I exasperated. "She found out I was Spiderman and she ran away. What's this about a scepter, what was the match?"

"Was it like her to run away?" He ignored me again.

"Yes, but it was unlike her to not come back. Answer me." I nearly growled.

"The mind stone." Bruce spoke, looking at me wildly. I shook my head to show I still didn't know what he was talking about.

"You're from Queens, remember when Loki attacked New York?" Tony spoke. I nodded and listened closer. "His staff held the mind stone, which is what Vision now has on his forehead."

"Okay?" I questioned, still not understanding what Vision had to do with the rest of this.

"Loki was able to completely brainwash and control those he touched with it. He had lots of inside helpers once he infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D, so many in fact that we can't trace it all back." Bruce continued. "Her interaction with Vision would have been predictable if we knew all of this beforehand. My labs this morning proved that the essence they created was one hundred percent mind stone essence."

"Well, how do you know she didn't just melt him?" I spoke up, turning my gaze to her body on the table.

"That's where these come in." He held up two vials, one of blood, and one of the vomit. "If these all come out a match, there is no doubt that she is Vision's opposite- completely by mistake. It'll take some time, time we don't have even if she's under anesthesia."

"We are going to have to lock her back up." Tony stated.

"In what? That cell is destroyed and she could hurt herself again." I added. Tony and Bruce looked at one another before looking at me. That's when I remembered Tony mentioning having a large tank for Bruce.

"Suit up, Kid." Tony spoke as Bruce placed the vials into some sort of machine. I nodded and quickly ran from the room and to the doors with my suit. "Friday, give it to 'im" I heard Tony speak into his watch. I couldn't help but feel giddy as the shining doors opened to reveal an even more shiny suit.

Automatically, the suit opened up and engulfed me before closing back up. I flexed my fingers and toes, getting a feel for the suit I almost never wore. I turned on my heel and darted back to the room. I slowed down as I entered and approached Y/n.

My body erupted with the strangest excitable and nervous butterflies as I carefully scooped her up into my arms. I could feel the tears in my eyes as her body naturally curled into my chest. It had been so long since I've held her, I didn't even care if I couldn't touch her skin. This was more than enough.

Without another thought, I followed Tony out of the room as he guided me to the tank he was talking about. Down one hall, around a corner, another hall, this walk was deeper into the building than I thought it would be.

"Okay," Tony stopped and opened a door. "You can place her right over there." He pointed to a large, thick glass room. It was clean and spacious, but completely empty of anything. All the safer. I walked to the middle of the glass room and slowly dropped to my knees. Leaning over, I gently placed her onto the ground and admired her.

"Let's go Parker, she could wake up at any moment."

I gave her one final look, brushed her hair behind her ear (or caressed her cheek), and placed a gentle kiss through my mask onto her forehead. I felt a tear fall underneath my mask, and stood up quickly.

"What's next?" I asked as I walked out, sniffing. I couldn't stop working and helping, not until Y/n was okay.

"Now," Tony sighed as he closed and locked the glass. "We wait"
