Peter

Dr. Banner met me in the hallway as I sprinted up to him with Y/n hanging limp in my arms.

"Please! Help her!" I choked out as he quickly motioned for me to follow him. His face was twisted with worry as he looked at the girl in my arms and the state she was in. Her skin was beginning to turn blue, and I knew it was only a matter of seconds before I lost her for good.

"What happened?" Bruce asked as he suddenly turned into a medical room. I was becoming so sick of the two of us winding up here. What a twist our relationship has been through. From academic clubs to near killing each other in the woods.

"Peter, what happened?!" Bruce yelled again as I was unable to focus properly.

"Uh I-I think she has a collapsed lung," I exclaimed as I laid her gently on the hospital bed. "She can't breathe!"

Bruce nudged me gently out of the way and pulled gloves over his hands before placing two fingers on the side of her neck. I choked on a sob as I tried to hold back my fear, beginning to pace in crazed circles.

"Her pulse is weak but it's there." He stated and quickly took a large needle off of a nearby counter. All I could do was watch as he felt around her ribs for perfect placement. He was calm and collected with each of his movements despite the sweating focus and caution that was sprawled across his face.

His hands lifted almost over his head before he plunged the syringe into her chest with force. I flinched and cringed as I picked up the sound of her skin separating with ease. Taking us both by surprise, Y/n's eyes snapped open as soon as the needle was in place.

Without wasting a second, I shot to her side and was quick to hold her arms against the bed. Even if she didn't mean to, she could easily kill Bruce or injure herself further. Her eyes gawked at the light on the ceiling, pupils seeming lost and far away as she almost stared through the bulb itself.

"She's awake!" I warned him as she began her attempt to escape. She wiggled weakly in my grip as her lungs pushed out a slight whistling sound.

"You need to keep her still!" Bruce growled as she began to squirm her legs around. It looked like she was slowly regaining feeling in her body; The pain was taking over. He began to pull the plunger of the syringe up, a disgusting shade of salmon pink peaking in as the different fluids in her chest mixed together as if she was a cocktail.

Looking away from the repulsive sight, I furrowed my eyebrows as I noticed her eyes very slowly moving over to look at what was happening. Her head barely moved to the side as she did so. I was becoming increasingly worried about her surviving this.

Her lips peaked apart momentarily, I could tell she wanted to say something but was cut off by herself. She tried to pull her arms away as she felt the needle in her lungs. A short, raspy, choke of a cry ripped from her throat. She sounded like she was drowning.

"Hurry Banner!" I cried out as her eyes blindly and slowly peered around. Her wiggling was becoming the smallest bit stronger as she started fighting harder. She tried to let out another sound but all that came out was a dribble of blood. It trailed down her cheek as her head drooped to the side, facing me.

Her face looked deceased but her body continued to try and find a way out. Her legs began kicking in the air, just missing the back of Bruce's head.

"It's too dangerous," Bruce sighed and ripped the syringe from her skin in one swift and strong motion. I wanted to ask what we were going to do next but as soon as the needle was free from her skin, she collided her knee into my gut. I didn't expect her to have any power but it was enough to send me to the ground. I landed on my ass but snapped my head up to watch her carefully. Her usual attack pattern was to run or to slaughter while her opponent was down.
