"So..." I broke the awkward silence as we made the walk back to the building. "How do you like Droney?"

"Huh?" She spoke through an exhausted, nearly loopy, voice. I pointed at the flying spider drone beside her and she followed with her eyes. "Oh. It's cute." She blinked rapidly as her eyes began to fall slower. I furrowed my eyebrows as I watched her fight tiredness. I bet she didn't get much sleep because of her breakdown.

"How about a movie?" I suggested randomly as we stumbled through the brambles and reached the clearing.

"A movie?" She repeated and looked at me sideways.

"Yeah." I smiled but looked ahead. "I'll make some (cozy warm snack like muffins or something) and you can pick the movie."

"Why?" She questioned as we reached the front door. I looked at her face and tried to think of an answer other than 'because you look terrible.'

"What else is there to do?" I chuckled. She nodded and shrugged before opening the door. I quickly caught it and held it open as she walked through; She didn't even give me a chance to be a gentleman.

As we stepped into the foyer, I made immediate eye contact with Tony. He stayed silent as we passed where he stood with Bruce.

"Okay," I spoke to Y/n as I looked away from Tony. "You go get comfy and get the movie ready and I'll go get snacks." She nodded slowly, eyes glued to the floor, before turning and walking back towards her room. I sighed and watched until she rounded a corner and disappeared from sight, Droney tailing her in the air.

"How is she?" Bruce asked as I turned to them. More than likely, Tony had been filling him in as we walked in.

"I mean..." I hesitated before shaking my head and letting out a breath. "She doesn't want to kill anybody."

"But?" Tony asked and quirked an eyebrow.

"But." I sighed again. "She's drained. She doesn't want to talk or listen or do anything. It's like she's depressed."

"This isn't uncommon after an experience with a drug as strong as Oxycoton." Bruce spoke up with a sympathetic frown. "She went from bliss to agony, and we're not talking physical pain here."

"But that was like, a week ago." I looked at him. "I don't think this has anything to do with being high. She's not talking about dying or craving anything. She's just... gone behind the eyes. Her mind is somewhere else. I don't know how else to describe it. She's just different." Bruce nodded as he listened to me intently but Tony was looking elsewhere.

"That's odd." He narrowed his eyes. Bruce and I looked at him before following his line of sight. I spotted Droney slowly making his way back to us.

"What's wrong?" I asked as my heart began to speed up naturally. I stared at the drone as I noticed everything in my eyes and ears became sharper, more alert to anything and everything. My suit pieced itself over my skin without needing more than a thought. Something was up.

"I didn't end his command to keep an eye on her." Tony spoke again as we all continued to stare at it. "Did you?" Bruce and I both shook our heads as we individually thought of the many reasons the drone could have come back on its own. It was not programmed to follow her instructions, so it isn't like she could tell it off.

The silence was deafening as the metal spider approached us, pausing to a still hover in front of our eyes. Tony pulled out his phone and opened whatever app he created for the drone, frowning as he flipped the screen to us.
