Your eyes were piercing daggers into the top of the ladder as you waited for both Tony and Peter to make their way up. Your body was as still as a rock despite the anxiety vigorously vibrating in your blood. You felt similar to a high risk dog on a leash, waiting for the moment to attack.
Two distant voices shook you from your thoughts, Peter and Tony talking amongst themselves as they climbed up the ladder.
"I've never even been up here." You could make out Tony's grumbles before his head appeared over the edge. You stood up straighter and threw Dr. Banner a worried glance before looking back at the ladder for Peter.
His eyes found you as soon as his head was in sight. His face was stern, angry, and sad, but he walked beside Tony anyways.
"We weren't done talking." He stated and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Oh, do you have more to tell me?" You became instantly angry at his words and followed his arm movements. "Did you kill my dad?"
"No, I put him in prison." He admitted with a solemn face. His lack of empathy was enough to set you over.
"Fuck you!" You screamed and shoved him by the chest.
"Okay, maybe we should get off the roof firs-"
"Stay out of it!" You and Peter simultaneously interrupted the considerate Bruce before turning back to each other and sneering. The anger was seeping out of your skin and almost visually swirling in the air around all four of you.
Peter's mask shimmered over his face and he took a stance like he was ready and willing to fight you unlike any other time you two had fought. It almost took you off guard but anger regrounded you quickly.
"I don't want to fight." He repeated.
"I do."
"Fine." He hissed fiercely before rapidly shooting a web and sticking your foot to the ground. You sneered down at the web he rarely used on you and simply yanked your foot from your shoe. A part of you questioned why he didn't think of that from the first fight but you wasted no time and ran at him.
He was quick to prepare himself, grabbing your arm as you threw the punch and quickly tossing your body to the ground behind him. You tumbled momentarily before rolling stealthily onto your feet and glaring at him.
"Why can't we just talk?!" He yelled as he walked closer to you.
"I don't listen to liars." You growled before lunging towards him. He quickly grabbed your arm and shoved you back to the ground, this time right below him. You grunted as you hit the ground but quickly threw your foot into the back of his knee, tired of him just tossing you around. He let out a small cry of pain as his one leg forcefully bent to a kneel but was quick to grab you by the shoulders and pin you onto your back.
"I didn't lie!" He pleaded into your face as he gripped your shoulders firmly.
You yelled unintelligibly and struggled beneath his grasp as you felt deperate. You jutted your shoulder upwards and let out a shriek of pain as it dislocated, causing Peter's hand to retreat in simple repugnance. Swiftly but painfully, you threw your shoulder back before bludgeoning your elbow across his face. His body fell sideways and you were quick to straddle him, the two older men were mortified by your tactics as Peter did his best to stay focused.
You sat full force onto his stomach and pummeled him across the jaw, your body's pain fueling your anger like coal to a fire. He groaned and viciously shoved you off of him, not allowing you to get another hit in.
