Peter

"Peter."

I quickly looked away from the glass in my hand and up at Tony. He looked like he was expecting some sort of answer from me but I had no clue he had even spoke before.

"Sorry, what?" I asked weakly.

"I asked if you got any sleep last night." He stated before pouring a glass of Whiskey for Bruce as well. We were sitting at his kitchen bar, I had just recently been dropped off by Happy and already had no control of my emotions. "I guess the answer is no."

I sighed at his correct statement and looked back to the glass. Without a second thought, I took a large gulp of the drink and cringed at the expected burn.

"How could I sleep after what's been happening?" I grumbled out and looked back at him. "How is she?"

"I mean, hurt for sure, but fine. She didn't break her knuckles, miraculously, but definitely jammed and cut up. What did you say that made her so angry?" Bruce was the one to speak.

"I just asked her why she didn't want to know about the past. I thought I was being careful but that's impossible with her. I can't keep up with her mood swings. I can't keep her calm. I can't do anything." I grumbled before taking another drink.

"Not if you're wasted." Tony chuckled as he watched me put the glass down. I sighed again and crossed my arms over the table before placing my head down.

"You have all that goo and you know where she got this power, why can't you cure her?" I grumbled and picked my head up to take another drink.

"It's not that simple." Tony spoke, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"You're supposed to be the smartest people in the world. Why can't you figure this out?!" I yelled suddenly.

"Do you think we know much of anything about Vision? Do you think we know anything about the stone? How do you propose we cure her, hmm? We can't run tests on a bitch we can't touch." Bruce snarled out as he slammed his hands on the table. Tony eyed him carefully as I flinched.

We stayed silent for a few seconds as Bruce huffed and looked between us.

"This is not a good time to go green, Bruce." Tony stated carefully.

"I'm sorry." I stated, nearly shaking like a leaf. How could I forget that this guy turns into a big green monster and can rip me apart in seconds?

"No... I'm sorry. I don't know why I got so mad..." He opened his hands up all the way as if to show he had control, and looked between us again.

"It's what she does." I sighed, putting my head back down on the table. "It's probably not safe with you here."

"As long as we keep her under control, I should be fine. Besides," Bruce stood up to take his empty glass to the sink. "You need me." His smile was emotionless, as I'm sure he was just trying to break the ice. Nonetheless, I nodded in agreement and scooted my glass away from me.

"So..." I cleared my throat and went back to staring at the same glass cup. "Do we have a plan?"

"We need more information from her in order to begin anything. That, and we need her calm enough to test." Tony spoke up from the other side of the bar.

"Well, she doesn't talk about it. I don't think she remembers much anyways. She just gets irate and violent, as quick as flipping a light switch." I responded.

"And I'm assuming there isn't much chance of you two reconnecting?" Bruce asked as he sat back in his chair beside me.

"I don't think so. I've told her the truth, I've tried giving her her favorite snacks, tried to talk about the past, all of it upsets her. She just thinks we are keeping her from her potential." I answered him, the cup still holding my interest.
