Chapter 9

Beyoncé's POV
Toronto, CA
December 24

"Can you take some photos of me with the tree, Bey?" Destiny called out, as I lounged out on the sofa. She tossed her phone at me and made me get up.

She started posing and I snapped as many photos as I could. She posed in her brown and beige jumpsuit.

"Ok, I'm done." I spoke passing her the phone back and sitting back down.

Not too long after, Titan came and sat with me. We took some selfies together before his mother came and interrupted our peace.

"Did Solo look at your arm?" Kelly moved my sleeve up.

"I had my actual doctor look at it, I'm fine." I said, relieving her stress.

"So I'm not a real doctor?" Solange came up behind me and put me in a chokehold. I slapped her arm but she didn't let go.

I tried to call out for help.

"That's right, call for ya mama." She wasn't even choking me softly, she was doing it like she wanted me to die.

"Don't hurt my BeyBey." Titan stood up and started punching Solange. His punches weren't that strong but they were affective because she let me go. I immediately started coughing whilst trying to catch my breath.

"You psycho!" I dramatically clutched my chest. Titan came over and hugged me, telling me that I was ok. I attacked his face with kisses before he started jumping me. Then Kelly started beating on me too.

"Imma stand right behind my son, no matter what he does." She said when they'd both finished beating me up.

"Nah, you just like beating me up." I rolled my eyes whilst turning to the tv.

"Titan has been telling me about your little meetings with a certain woman at his preschool." Kelly interrupted my thoughts, wiggling her brows.

"Titan just loves telling people my business, huh." I fake laughed whilst ruffling his hair.

"Leave my son alone." She hugged him and mugged me before speaking again. "Now spill. I know her name is Nicki, that's what Titan said it was."

I nodded.

"She's Titan's best friend's mother." I shrugged. "She just always happens to be there when I drop off Titan."

"I noticed something else too. You've asked me to take Titan to school more than usual recently." She squinted my eyes watching me intently.

"I just love spending time with my godson." I smirked and she chuckled, not buying it.

"You don't even be looking at women like that no more, so you purposely going to see her in the morning is definitely weird. What has this woman done to you?" She questioned then she covered Titan's ears. "Did you sleep with her?"

"What? No!" I snapped my neck to her. "She's just a friend. I can't have friends now?"

Kelly started laughing as she caressed the side of Titan's face. "I'll give it a month."

I furrowed my brows.

"What do you mean?"

"I'll give it a month before you fall for her."

"I don't fall in love."

"That's not the first time you've said that whilst trying to get at someone." She slyly glanced at me then back to the tv.

"Shut up." I mugged her then my mama walked into the living room.

"The chef done made y'all something quick to eat. Go eat now or forever hold your hunger." We all rushed to the dining room and devoured our food.
