Onika's POV
Rowland Household
April 18

I'd definitely overstayed my welcome. Kelly had been an amazing host and Bey was really nice too.

I'd also seen Zamora for the first time in a month, which made me really emotional. She was here for a play date.

She ended up staying the night because she cried her way into it.

I felt like a horrible mother. I'd neglected my child for my own needs.

In her little mind, she probably thought that I'd abandoned her. I would never abandon her. I just needed space.

Even now, as we sat together. I wasn't feeling the connect. I wasn't back to my normal self. I put on a front for my daughter but it wasn't really me.

"Mommy." She called out to me and I broke out of my trance.

"Yes, baby."

"Can we go outside?"

"Backyard or front yard?"

"Back."

"Ok, go put y'all shoes and and y'all can go play."

Titan and Zamora got up and raced each other to their shoes.

"Y'all better not be running in my house!" I heard Kelly yell from upstairs.

"Sorry, mama." "Sorry, Ms Kelly." They both responded in unison.

They both slowly and quietly put their shoes on and headed outside.

The backyard was a good size. They had a pool and a trampoline back there. So the kids could play for however long they wanted.

Kelly soon came downstairs in some jeans and a plain shirt.

"Hi." I smiled at her and she smiled back. "Sorry, for letting them run."

"It's ok. Kids will be kids. They're always running somewhere."

We both shared a laugh and she sat on the couch near me. There were some cushions between us but we weren't far apart.

"Do you know if Bey is coming back?" I asked out of curiosity. I hadn't seen her since early in the morning. I knew she didn't live here, so I didn't know if she'd come back at all.

"She's out being a businesswoman, so I'm not sure." She rolled her eyes. "Why? You low-key stealing my best friend from me."

I chuckled at that.

"I was just wondering."

"It's fine. I wanna know my damn self."

We both turned our faces to the TV as a funny scene came up. That was interrupted when Kelly paused it.

"I know I keep asking you this, but are you sure you're ok?"

I really wasn't okay. I couldn't think straight. Most of my days were a blur. It felt like everything was moving around me but me.

"I'm sure." I decided on saying that.

"You threw up yesterday and this morning. Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm always sick. It happens once in a while. I'll be fine." I distracted and she slowly nodded her head.

"Ok." She left that there and unpaused the TV.

I didn't go without noticing the slight glances she took at me. I tried to ignore it for the most part.

After a while I abruptly stood up. I felt the urge to vomit.

"Excuse me." I rushed to the nearest bathroom and instantly hurled. This was pregnancy morning sickness.
