Milan's POV
Parking Lot
August 24

"You called me at the worst time possible, Uncle M." I answered the phone, annoyed.

"I'm sorry, Mimi. Devonte been running around my house, crying for you. What did you get out of Nicki?"

"Tell him that he'll get his ass beat if he don't behave." I explained to him.

I paused before saying the next part.

"She said something about her ex dying a few months ago. So they killed Meek." I sighed. He was my fiancé and the father of my children.

If I could, I would've killed her that day at the mall. For sleeping with my man. She was keeping him away from his family for 3 years straight. So I was pissed.

Then he started spending more time with the kids and I before he was taken. I cried to my uncle to go find him and they couldn't trace him. By the minor clues left behind by HIVE, we found out he was in Houston.

"They move quick." He chuckled. "How's the thing going with Knowles daughter?"

"It's good. I think she's starting to trust me more. So hopefully I can get something out of her soon." I explained.

"That's good, Mimi."

It wasn't good because the plan was backfiring on me. This was my first mission, so it wasn't perfect. But my uncle trusted me to do it, so I was going to do it right.

The only issue was Bey. She wasn't as bad as I thought. She was very charming. Also very attractive.

"Are you still there, Milan?" My uncle Martin's voice was stern.

"Yes. Have all my kids been acting up?"

"No. Alexis and Sean have been behaving."

"Ok. I've got to go now. But call me if you need anything else." I got my phone ready to hang up.

"One more thing before you go." I stopped, with my finger above the hang up button. "Don't fall for anything that girl does. She's just like her father."

"Ok, unc. Bye." I hung up.
