Beyoncé's POV
Home
December 5I browsed on the internet, in my office. I'd had a long day at the warehouse and came back from my Washington warehouse early in the morning.
My hair hadn't been washed in a few weeks, so I had to get that done. Kelly was going to do that for me.
I was right now online shopping for a birthday gift. My brain was stuck on what to get for Onika. The first thing I thought was to get her a new car but I knew she'd hate an expensive gift like that.
My other gift was a trip to Trinidad, but she'd hate me for that too. I was still doing it, but when Caribbean carnival came around. I did my research and found that it was near the end of February, next year.
There was a knock at my door and Kelly popped up. I smiled and went back to what I was doing.
"Hey, Bey." She plopped down in the seat in front of my desk. "What are you doing?"
"Birthday shopping."
She gave me a knowing smile before speaking. "What are your ideas so far?"
"That's the issue. My ideas are what I want to buy for her, not what she wants. I don't think she wants these things anyway." I sighed.
"Didn't you say you was flying her friends down here? I'm sure that's the most loving gift you can give her." Kelly expressed and I smiled.
"You're right but I need to give her more, to make myself feel better. I'll probably buy her a pink Apple Watch." I spoke whilst looking down at the one she bought for me.
"You literally have an addiction for spending money, and it's always on everyone else."
"Because all of this money and wealth I have isn't coming to the grave with me. When I die, I'm giving it all to my next of kin." I explained.
My first thought would've been to give it all to Kelly, Trent and my other sisters but I wanted my money distributed across everyone I loved.
"You have so much more time to make decisions like that."
"I want kids."
"I know, Bey. You'll have your kids, when the time is right." Kelly's voice softened. She knew how much the topic of kids meant to me. "But you have Titan and Mora for now."
"They're like my mini me's." I smiled.
"They really are."
"I've been reading pops' journals." I confessed and brought one up from my lap, placing it on the desk. Her face softened even more. "Now I'm reading from when I was like 6. There's some photos too."
I took some photos out of the journal and showed them to her. "He was writing about how he learned to share his love between the 3 most important people in his life."
Kelly grew up with my siblings and I. She moved in with us when I was like 8. That meant that my dad had to share his love between 5 people because by then, Destiny was born.
"This one is so cute." She held up a photo of me helping Solange to walk. "And now she's a med student."
"I'm so proud of her. She don't be showing it but she really loves when we all show interest in what she's doing." I smiled looking at the photo once more before sliding it back into the journal. "I always knew she'd be the one to dedicate her life to something like this."
"For real. Remember when she'd see someone injured and go to help them. Everyone was so scared to see blood except you, pops and Solo." Kelly reminisced.
