relentless

nature is unforgiving.

it teaches, although its beauty,
that nothing is truly yours.

it takes, as it sees fit,
with the same ease it once gave.

it kills, as it needs,
with the same grace it once birthed.

it feeds on whatever it has,
it decays whatever it can,
and it swallows whatever it sees.

nature is untiring.

it teaches, although its serenity,
that chaos is the natural order of things.

to seek relief, respite, reassurance,
is to fight that which can't be beaten.
