I never used to believe in fate or destiny, not until that night. It was a warm evening in the garden, where the tulips shimmered like fallen stars.

"Who knew the stars could be so close tonight?" I said out loud, more to myself than anyone else.

A soft, melodic laugh reached my ears, and I turned to see her, a young Mayumi. She stood there, a few steps away, eyes bright with something I couldn't explain.

"Marahil mas malapit sila dahil may nais silang sabihin sa atin," she replied, her voice gentle yet filled with a hint of mystery.

Her words struck me. It felt like the universe had conspired to bring us together in that very moment. I smiled, feeling drawn to her in a way I couldn't explain. With each step closer, the air seemed to crackle with anticipation.

"Do you believe in signs from the universe?" I asked, looking into her eyes.

The stars above seemed to shine brighter, casting a surreal glow over everything. As our hands brushed, a surge of electricity pulsed through me. It was as if the universe itself was acknowledging our connection.

That night, among the tulips and starlit sky, I knew deep down that our love was meant to be. It wasn't just chance; it was written in the stars. We were young, but our paths had intertwined with a cosmic certainty.

"Lolo Dad, I'm too young to get married," I complained to my grandfather. He had been nagging me for a while.

"Basta, apo. Pag-isipan mong mabuti. Gusto ko nang magkaapo." He insisted, so I just scratched the bridge of my nose.

I asked him.

"Okay, fine. Who am I supposed to marry?" I asked my grandfather, who sat calmly in front of me.

"You will marry the granddaughter of your Lolo Armando," he said boastfully, grinning at me.

Mayumi Chantrea Abella, the only heiress of the Abella family.

I didn't know why I was acting this way; I wasn't like this before. dahil palagi lang akong nasa bahay o hindi kaya tambay sa library ng university.

May isang beses pa, someone wanted to ask for her number, and I told him not to bother because the beautiful girl already had a boyfriend, and it was me. She's mine; I will marry her in the future, so back off, idiots!

The day I had been eagerly awaiting finally arrived-ang maikasal sa taong matagal ko nang pinapangarap. Hindi ko na siya kailangang tanawin at bantayan mula sa malayo dahil ngayon, she was mine. I no longer had to pretend because we were legally married.

I thought I could proudly announced to the world that she was mine, but I was wrong.
