Jack grabs Kelly and they run into the corner of the office. They crouch down behind one of the cabinets. Gibbs takes out the gun from his holster and makes his way to the door. "Be careful," Jack shouts after him. He shuts the lights off and he opens the door, locking it behind him.
Jack comforts Kelly and tells her that she's okay. She wished that there was something else she could do. All she could do was wait. Wait for Gibbs to come back and tell them that everything was fine.
There were a lot of gunshots and yelling before there was silence. First, Jack sighed in relief but she realized that Gibbs could be dead. She waited and waited. Ten minutes passed and then Jack couldn't wait any longer.
"Stay here. Don't move until I come back and tell you," Jack tells Kelly and she runs out of the room. She checks everywhere. In the bullpen. Upstairs. Downstairs.
Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. 'Elevator.' The word pops up in her head and it sends her running. She turns the corner and spots the elevator.
She notices something on the floor in front of it and when she realizes what it is - or who it is, for that matter, she slows down. 'No. No, it can't be.'
