*Flashback*

She takes out her gun and puts it to her head, taking a deep breath. The door opens and she hears footsteps walking over to her. She looks up and sees Gibbs with a very concerned look on his face.

"Jack, please. Don't do this. I know it's hard right now and I know it hurts but you can get through this," he says, hoping that she'll put the gun down. When she doesn't, he takes a deep breath. "I love you, Jack. I've loved you since the first time I saw you. Jacqueline, I don't wanna lose you so please don't do this,"

*Present*

Jack takes a deep breath and puts the gun down. Gibbs wraps his arms around her and comforts her as she cries. "I know, I know. It's gonna be okay," he says.

About fifteen minutes later, Jack pulls out of the hug and looks at Gibbs. "Jack, I don't want to intrude but why'd you want to do that? Is that why you wanted to leave?" he asks and looks at her, hoping for a response. Jack looks at her hands and starts talking.

"You know Faith, right? Well, she was conceived by rape. My boyfriend at the time was very, very abusive and all he could think about was sex. I wasn't ready to go to that step with him and that led to more and more of the abuse. He finally got sick and tired of fighting with me about it and just raped me,"

"Almost every case we've had has been a rape or abuse case and it always brings me back to those moments. The images flash through my head and I feel hopeless from preventing them. I feel like I'm drowning and I don't know how to stop all of these thoughts from coming into my head. I don't want to die, I just feel like I am dying, Gibbs,"

Gibbs reaches for her hand and holds it. "I'm so sorry that he did that to you, Jack. And I know you don't need my sympathy, you need help and I know how hard it is for you to ask for it. I'm gonna help you," he says.

Jack smiles a little and looks up at Gibbs. "Thank you, Cowboy. And do you actually mean what you said about loving me?" she asks. "Of course I do, Jack. You may have just showed up out of the blue at my doorstep, but you took my breath away, even if you were drenched in rain," he and Jack both chuckle. "Well, I love you, too, Cowboy," she says and Gibbs leans in and kisses her.
