Expect the Unexpected (Jemily)

Chapter 3

Emily's POV

It's my turn to leave out again, JJ and I like this a lot better so we never have to leave Lily alone,

Not saying that we never have, on cases where Hotch needs the both of us she stays with Garcia but it's not often,

However this time I wanted to stay behind too, Lily hasn't been feeling well and I hate leaving JJ alone with her. She isn't bad or anything but she becomes very clingy and won't let us out of her sight when she is sick

Which is like now, I have been trying to get ready for work but Lily is not letting me even attempt to get dressed

"Baby I know you're not feeling well.... Do you want to go lay down with Momma JJ?" I ask her and she shakes her head

"Okay" I sigh and press a kiss against her head, I could tell she was running a fever just from that

JJ came in a few moments later with some medicine for Lily

"No! I don't want that" Lily expresses and hides her face more into my chest

"It's going to make you feel better, and I got some juice for you" JJ says and lily looks up to JJ and nods

"Okay" she says and takes the medicine, whining a little at the taste before drinking the juice JJ brought her and she cuddled back against me

"I could just stay" I tell JJ and she shakes her head

"No, we'll. Be fine, ill call you with updates." JJ says and I nod

"Okay... I love you" I tell her

"I love you too" she tells me and takes Lily from my arms, she didn't fight the change, her little body was too exhausted

JJ laid them both down and I left the house to get to the office

When I walked in everyone was already at their desk

"You're late" Derek says and I sigh and sit at my desk

"Lily is sick... she didn't want me to leave" I tell him

"Poor kid" he says and I nod

I just hope she doesn't stay sick for too long, for her sake and for JJs

JJs POV

After Emily left Lily fell asleep immediately, she had only been sick with us once, she had the flu and wouldn't leave my side or Emily's, if she wasn't constantly in one of our laps she would be restless and it just wasn't worth it

So until she starts to feel better I'm prepared for a lot of cuddles,

Not even half an hour later Lily woke up and climbed into my lap without saying anything

"You feeling better?" I ask her and she shakes her head

"You want to try and eat something?" I ask while rubbing my hand up and down her back; she just shook her head in response again

"Can you drink something for me then? Gotta keep your little body hydrated" I say and hand her a cup and she just holds it to her chest for a few seconds before drinking

"Done" she says and hands me the cup back

"Thank you"'I tell her and she just closes her eyes again

Its sucks a lot to see her so sick, it's hurts my heart to see her like this

While she slept I got my laptop out and decided to FaceTime with Penelope, even if Emily and I don't both go with the team the other usually helps pen, but with Lily sick I can just help from here
