Expect the Unexpected (Jemily)

Chapter 35

Emily's POV

It's been two weeks since we have asked Danielle if  she wanted to be adopted, she hasn't mentioned anything to me about her decision and I don't want to push her.

I just hope she'll have a decision soon. And I hope it's the decision JJ and I want.

We are being proactive and looking for a new place. Our place now is just a little small if we plan on adopting Danielle and Alana one day. We have two bedrooms and a home office. Short term we could turn the office into a bedroom but JJ is pretty adamant about having an office.

We found a place we liked but it was pretty big and honestly we don't need so much space but it's a nice property and would be our forever home. It's also pretty pricey so we are just taking our time and have a visit scheduled today to go see it.

We are also debating on taking Danielle along with us. We want her to come along but at the same time we don't want her to think we are pressuring her one way or another. JJ says we should ask her if she wants to come and she's typically always right.

"Dani!" I call for her, JJ is in our room getting ready so we can leave since I'm already ready to go

"Danielle!" I call out again since she didn't respond the first time

When I will didn't get a response I walked back to her room and opened the door, she was sitting on her bed, playing on her phone with her air pods in

I rolled my eyes and flicked the lights off and then back on for her to look at me

"What?" She ask

"I called for you twice." I say

"I didn't hear you" she says and I sigh

"I know. You know how JJ and I have been talking about buying a new place?" I ask and she nods

"We are going to see a house in about half an hour. Do you want to come with us or would you rather hang out with Penelope?" I ask her

"I want to go with you guys" she says and I nod

"Okay hun, get dressed quick and come out to the living room" I say and she nods and gets off her bed and I walk back to my room to check on JJ

"Is she coming?" JJ ask when I walk in the room

"Yes. Are you ready?" I ask her and she nods

"Yea, I'm all done" she says and walks over to me and kisses me softly before walking out of our room and I follow

JJs POV

As soon as we pulled up to the house both Emily and I were in awe, it's beautiful

It's a large house and the outside looks like it's made of stone, the driveway is a little longer than usual but we like that it's a bit secluded

"This is so pretty" Danielle says as we get out of the car

Our agent, Samuel,  was already here and he came over to greet us immediately.

"I think you guys will like this one" he tells us

"We already do, we're excited for this walkthrough" I say and Emily nods

Inside,  the living area and dining area are huge. The open concept is something Emily and I both needed in a house

Samuel showed us the sun room and Danielle immediately fell in love.

As soon as we seen the master bedroom Emily and I were sold on this house. It was way bigger than our current one and there was so much natural  light. It even had two walk in closets  that would come in handy. The en-suite bathroom was even more amazing, the tub was beautiful and bigger than any other tub I have seen.
