(Some Time In The Distant Future)

The Southern Sun had sunk below the edge of the horizon. It's light even now overrun by the faint purple and orange of early evening. Out in the prairie-land a distant away from what was once a well-kept road a tiny shadow moved through the waist-high grass.

"Damn... How is it that even with vamp speed I'm still not fast enough" the lady with shoulder length blond hair sighed trying to even out her breathing, wiping a bit of sweat that slid down the side of her face.

"Nows not the time, we have to hurry" another blond, taller and fairly calm whisper shouted back.

"Walk and they will find us. Run and they'll find us. Life can be a pain like that sometimes, huh?" The young woman lightly laughed.

The two proceeded warily, feeling out the way ahead while keeping their profile as low as possible. Soon, they spied a wide wall made of roughly cut wooden planks, extending seemingly forever in either direction.

"My, someone's been working fast. It's only been just a little over a year, no?" The older lady said, her hand reaching for the wall. When they arrived at a piece of that wall and spied crosses, made of five distinct parts fitted together, nailed to it haphazardly.

"Freya, seriously. What happened to not the time" the young blond huffed.

"Aunt Bex" a small high pitch voice said, her small arms wrapped around the back of the blonds neck. Rebekah slightly turned, jumped up a tiny bit to adjust the small girl who was being carried on her back.

"Yes, love" Rebekah softly spoke.

The small girl, dark hair and blue eyes looked at her aunt timidly but trying hard to be strong and not scared, but both older ladies noticed the small shaking in her body. There was also no denying the beads of tears she was trying to wipe away.

"Kayley, I need you to not let go okay." Rebekah said.

"I trying but... monsters. They're scary" the small girl whimpered hiding her face in the crook of her aunts neck.

"I know, I'll run really really fast so you won't see them. How does that sound. And if they get close I'll hit them hard" Rebekah smiled, trying hard to cheer up her small niece.

The three began to hear a soft noise. Both Kayley and Rebekah looked at Freya who unzipped her sweater revealing a very small baby only a few days old strapped to her front.

"Shhh, it's okay Andrea." Freya whispered trying to rock the infant back to sleep. "We really need to get out of here. We are exposed" she said still lightly bouncing the baby.

It's been a couple of years now since Malivore was able to take over a physical body and began causing havoc around mystic falls. Despite the many attempts to stop him, the more he produced monsters the more the supernaturals that tried to stop them failed. It became so much that the supernatural decided to boast the combined power with the triad, led by Josie Saltzman as she attempted to resist Malivore and his forces of marauding demons.

The wall that spread before the girls, festooned with a magical barrier that served to prevent entry to a certain location.

Even now, as the darkness gathered and descended upon the sky, the arcane presence of that 'location' spread its black stink to every corner of the property, despite remaining out of sight behind the wall.

Salvatore Boarding school.

It was the domain and primary stronghold of Hope Mikaelson, the tribrid. Ruler of the many hybrids that she had created along with her father. They used the hybrids to team up with the triad to help stop Malivore, however the forces that once plunged mankind into untold misery were suddenly nothing more than rag-dolls getting tossed around and killed.
