Hope's P.O.V

My body froze as I watch the sight in front of me. I wanted to move, run to Josie and make sure she was okay wasn't hurt. But my feet stayed glued to the floor. Suddenly, my aunts, Rebekah and freya burst into the room seeing the bloody mess in the room. Rebekah was the first to notice kayley and Andrea hiding by the dresser.

She sped to them, taking Andrea into her arms. The loud bang had woken her up, which made her cry loudly and even kayley had a few tears in her eyes who stared at her mommy on the floor.

"Josie... Josie can you hear me" freya said, shaking her a bit. Picking her up, freya took Jos to the bed, and finally my body moved, running to the bed side.

Josie was barley holding on, her eyes struggling to stay open.

My eyes looked trailed down her body until I saw it. 3 bullet holes in her chest. Freya turned seeing alaric, and just out of reach from his hand, a gun. She grabbed it, checking the chambers and dumbing out the last remaining bullet into her palm.

Bullet made out of wood. A bullet meant to kill a vampire. A wooden bullet covered in wolfsbane.

''Freya" Josie mumbled, her voice barley reaching our ears. Freya looked at her, panic and worry in her eyes.

"Don't worry Josie. I'll find a way to heal you. When Hope comes back she'll--"

"There's no time" Josie said. "Take the girls. Get them out of here" She tried to lift her hand, but she was too weak to even lift a finger. "There, in the desk. I-I wrote a le-letter" she groaned, the pain of the elements began to course through her body. "Stick to the plan"

"Josie, I--"

"NO" Josie shook her head. "I want you... I need you to take the girls and--and take them back to us."

"What?" freya said. She turned to the desk running towards it and digging around until she found a letter addressed to bother her and hope. "Josie you're not--"

"Kayley" Josie shouted, but even then her voice still sounded soft and fragile. Kayley moved past rebehak and jumped up onto the bed.

"Mommy" kayley whimpered. "Are you hurt?" Josie smiled, trying to hide the pain she was feeling, not wanting to scare her. But even Josie knew her act wasn't fooling the little one.

"I'm-- I need you to be a big girl for me" she said. "You--You have to be brave and--"

"No" kayley shook her head. "I'll get mama... She'll make you feel better" Kayley said. She turned around, almost ready to get off the bed, but Josie reached for her preventing her from leaving. "I don't want you to die" kayley kept her eyes from looking at Josie. They looked at the floor, at the walls, and at both her aunts. But never once did they move back to Josie.

"Kayley... you--you know how you can help me" she said.

"How" kayley quickly busted herself next to Josie, like a puppy patiently waiting for commands.

"Aunt freya is going to send you somewhere--"

"I don't want to leave you" Kayley doesn't hesitate to cut Josie off and being her protest. "I dont want you to leave. I don't want to--" she stopped, unsure of what else to say, so confused on what was going on. Her mother was dying, I her other parent wasn't there to comfort her, to protect, her... I.. I wasn't there.

"Ka--kayley. This place... you'll see us again. Me and yo--your mama. This place... you'll be happy, and not be scared anymore. You--you'll be happy there"
