It was the panic gasp that woke me up from a sleep I was unaware of.  Josie sat up quickly looking all around the room and touching her body making sure she was still intact. I rushed to her side but she quickly moved away from me. She had panic in her eyes, scared I would hurt her.

"Baby its me." I reassured her. Her chest was rising and falling heavily and veins started to appear under her eyes that suddenly started to become red. "Baby" I slowly said. "It's just me"

"I c-can't" she breathlessly let out holding back the urge to attack me. She was in transition and right now her hyper sensitive hearing could make out the blood flowing through every student's body in the school. And right now my heart pumping blood was an 808 bass drum pounding in her ears, as the need to feed became more intense.

Her fangs came out as she let out a small painful grunt.

Crawling onto the bed, I reach for her wrist and pull her to me. She fights me on it at first but I was still stronger pulling her onto my lap.

"It's okay baby. You need blood thats all. You'll be okay after" I tell her. I felt her fingers pinch down harshly onto my shoulders. After trying to pull herself away.

"I don't--"

"You won't hurt me" I tell her.

"I can't" she whimpers. She was really trying to hold back but her urge to feed, the need for blood was pulling her towards me like a strong magnet. "It hurts, really bad" she whispers, tears now welling up in her eyes. "And if I start I won't stop"

"I know it does, and I know you're scared. But I promise I'll help you control it."

"I can't--" she says once more.

"Jos, if you wanna be around the girls you're going to have to control your urge to feed." I tell her. This seemed to snap her out of her panic. She turned around looking at the entire room. No sign of either daughter, which made her calm down. But new panic filled her eyes. "They're with lizzie" I only hoped.

I pulled my hair to the other side of my shoulder, and Josies eyes widen as she swallowed thickly. Slowly opening her mouth she leaned closer until I felt the points of the fangs touch my skin. She repositioned herself, now straddling me. I wrapped my arms around her tightly, rubbing small comforting circles on her lower back. She was still hesitant.

"It okay Josie" That was all Josie need to hear for her fangs to dig into my neck. It made me gasp at the sharp pinch, making me tighten my grip onto Josies waist, but the pain only lasted a second. I felt the blood that was flowing throw me begin to be sucked out. I couldn't help but let out a soft moan, which caused Josie to laugh.

But I knew I had to get her off me. I started to feel drained. I tapped her back, trying to get her attention but she wouldn't budge.

"Thats enough baby" I tell her, but nothing. "Josie" I tried once more but her fangs only dug further into my neck. "Okay Josie thats enough"  I told her raising my voice just a bit and pulled her away. Blood dripped down her lips. I could see the guilt in her eyes.

She put her hands on her chest and seemed to be in pain. She coughed a few times and the pain faded. She took a moment to recover her breath.

"Im sorry" she says. I know she was, and I knew this was hard for her, but it was already done. She couldn't go back to the way she was anymore. This was her new life... a heretic.

I felt my neck wound begin to heal, and Josie used the sleeve of her shirt to wipe away the rest of the blood. I felt her hands shaking, the lights strokes trying to rub everything away. Tears one by one falling down as her lip quivered. It reminded me of kayley. The anger and sadness in her eyes. It was like I was looking at a spitting imagine.
