I take a bobby-pin out of my hair and shape it into the lock. I hear the click and I go into the bedroom. Bucky hasn't even looked up. Omg he had Leo.
I'm crying. I rarely cry. I have never felt guilty before but I do. Now hearing me crying probably he looks up.
"H-hi, my name's Harper Barnes." I say.
"What are you doing in here kid?" He asks putting the lion down.
"Bucky you are so dumb." I reply to that.
"I'm sorry. I thought you didn't care. Coming here tonight seeing you like that. I realised something I should have ages ago." I said looking him in the eye as he processes this.
"Harvey?!" He questions. Picking me up. I just hug him back.
"Why even are you here tonight?" He asked.
"My legal guardian died. Don't question it. But I came here to think. Cause I would have to restart everything if I stayed as Harper Barnes. I felt guilty watching you. I couldn't."
Bucky doesn't reply.
"You know I have been working in Stark Tower for two months." I said.
"My first day Stark came and talked to me."
"Now you're just trying to annoy me." Bucky replied as I giggled.
"I'm not being an Avenger."
"Ok. That's fine." He replied holding me as though I was going to run away.
"We should probably tell the others." I said
"Hey, you used my last name." Bucky sort of questioned.
"Friday, tell the team that Bucky wants them in the meeting room in 10 minutes." I told the AI.
"Yes Miss Barnes."
"I'm not putting you down." Bucky said.
"I know if someone is holding you they teleport with you." Bucky says clearly still not being able to comprehend this.
"Yeah ok, I get that." I responded.
"I got over my anger issues." I said.
"Yeah, I'll be the judge of that." Bucky tells me.
10 minutes later we walk into the meeting room (late). When I say walk I mean Bucky carry's me.
"Why is Bucky carrying my intern?" Tony asks.
"Wow, you were right he is oblivious." Bucky says to me.
"So where you." I reply.
"By the way, you try and make me train I'm leaving again." I whisper in his ear.
"Wait, Bucky. Is that." Nat asked unsurprisingly the first to realise.
"In one piece I would like to point out." I replied. Now just about everyone worked it out.
"Yeah, I'll be the judge of in one piece." Bruce replied.
*eye roll.*
"Also your gonna have to adopt my new identity." I state.
"My legal guardian died." I laughed.
"That's not something you laugh at." Steve finally chimed in.
"I'm aware."
