More than Expected

     After school on Monday, Rick and Kate return to his apartment since his mother will be working on her play until probably early tomorrow morning, "What time should your test results come in?" Kate asks, "6:00." He answers, "Well, then we have time for your first surprise." Kate says, "Kate, you're growing my baby. You didn't have to get me anything." He tells her, "Oh, hush, did you really think I wasn't going to celebrate your birthday?" She asks him as she pulls out a small chocolate cake and sticks a '1' and a '9' candle in the top.
     She grabs a lighter and lights the candles before pulling him over to her. He smiles before resting both hands over her bump while his chin lays on her shoulder, "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Dada. Happy birthday to you." Kate sings, knowing his new and upcoming title thrills him. Rick smiles and kisses her cheek before blowing his candles out, "Make a wish?" She asks. He shakes his head, "Didn't need to. I've got all I could possibly want right here." He tells her making tears fill her eyes.
     "We love you." She tells him, "I love you guys too." He smiles before kissing her. "We also got you a gift." She says before presenting him with a small gift bag, "Kate, I'm serious, you didn't need to do this." He tells her, "Just open it." She insists. He gives in and pulls the tissue paper out before pulling out a grey onesie that says "RELAX my DAD is in the ARMY". Rick chuckles at the gift, "You like it?" "I love it, baby. Thank you. Our little girl is going to look so cute in it."
     "You mean our son is going to look so handsome in it?" She corrects him, "Well, we would be able to settle this debate in a few weeks, but you're adamant about waiting until they're born to find out if it's a boy or a girl." Rick throws back at her. She smiles, "This will be more fun, don't you think?" She asks. He jokingly rolls his eyes and sighs, "Fine, but the next one we are definitely finding out before they're born." He says before kissing her lips, "Next one? How about we focus on this one and me graduating first?" She prompts.
     "Yeah. We should probably get married before the next one too." He says, "I only want to get married because you want me to be your wife. Not because we're having a baby." She tells him, "Beautiful, I've wanted you to be my wife since I first laid my eyes on you." He says and then kisses her once again. She smiles into the kiss, "C'mon, let's eat your cake." She says, "Can I eat it off of you?" He asks. She rolls her eyes, "We can save some for you to eat off of me later." She promises.
     His eyes widen and she knows she's flustered him. They begin eating the cake a share a glass of milk when his phone buzzes, "It's my results." Rick says. They both stand and he takes a deep breath, "You aced it." She tells him before grabbing his hand and placing it on her small bump, knowing it brings him comfort. He takes one more deep breath before opening the email. She observes him as he reads through his results and then he looks at her with wide eyes, "I got a 93." He tells her. The highest you can score on the ASVAB is a 99.
    Kate smiles and throws herself into his arms. He lifts her and spins her around as she giggles. She pulls back and looks down at him before smashing her mouth against his. Their lips stay connected as he lowers her back to the ground, "I knew you could do it." She tells him. He smiles and kisses her lips several more times, "I couldn't have done it without your encouragement. Thank you so much for believing in me." "Always handsome." She promises him. He hugs her close to him.
     She kisses from his cheek back to his lips, "Let's go celebrate your birthday properly, soldier." She tells him. He lifts her in his arms and carries her upstairs before depositing her on his bed, "You better have prepared yourself because I'm horny." She tells him, "God, I love you so much." He whispers against her lips before pulling her shirt over her head and sliding her pants down her legs. He looks down at her in her panties and bra with her bump poking out, "Damn, Kate, do you even know what you do to me?" He asks her in awe.
     She grasps his hand and slides it underneath her panties so he can feel her center, "This is what you do to me." She tells him before pulling him down for another kiss. They go round after round. Some are quiet and tender, but most of the time she falls while screaming his name and then whining as he winds her up again. They take a break and lay in his bed, "Could you go get the cake? Baby really wants some." Kate asks him. Rick smiles and kisses her bump before standing out of bed naked. He turns and stretches.
     She takes the opportunity to smack his bare ass, "Hey! Watch it." He jokingly warns her, "I couldn't resist. Your butt is so cute." She tells him. He shakes his head before going to grab the cake and the begin eating it in bed. He stares at her: she has his sheets pulled over her naked body as she sits in his bed devouring the cake. He grabs his phone and takes a picture, "Why are you taking a picture?" She asks him, "To remember this moment. I never thought that I would be spending my 19th birthday in my bed with the love of my life carrying my baby and sharing my cake after finding out I passed the ASVAB and took part in multiple rounds of mind blowing, glorious sex." He says.
     She laughs at his description of the evening. She sets the cake aside on the nighstand, "Speaking of blowing." She says in a low, sultry voice as she kisses down his chest, "Kate." He begins, "Let me. I want to. And it's your birthday. Are you really going to deny me?" She asks with her puppy dog eyes. He sighs, "You know I can't."
     She smiles and continues her descent. They end up coming together twice more before she lays on her back as he cuddles into her side, their legs intertwined and their hands locked over her stomach while his head lay on one of her breasts and her fingers run through his hair. She taps his ear so he looks up at her before she leans down and kisses him, "I'm so proud of you and I love you. Happy 19th birthday, baby." She tells him, "Thank you for an amazing day. An amazing life. I love you so much." He says.
     They share one more kiss before retaking their positions and sliding down in his bed so they can find sleep together after a long night of celebrating him and all of his accomplishments.
