9 a.m.

8 days have passed since their first meeting. What was supposed to be an easy win for the Grail has been postponed for a good chunk of time. Whether it was because of sloth or the fear of the unknown, the fact remains that Assassin and her Master have been 'playing it safe and slow' since the very beginning. Was it necessary? What's going on with her head to make her think that she could afford procrastinating what she's supposed to do?! I- no... WE need answers.

Hachijou POV

"*Jolts* Itai?!"

"Hachijou?" Freud asks.

The two stop their games to look at the nerdy girl.

"N-Nandemonai! I felt a weird breeze all of a sudden!"

Is someone talking behind my back? *Brr* I hope I'm not haunted or something!

"Maybe your body is lacking fresh air, Hachijou-san! We should hang out sometimes!" Re: Anima suggests.

"*Sigh* Say what you want. I won't go outside unless it's necessary."

After the brief chit-chat, the duel between the pale undead and the dollish girl continues as usual.

"Anyway, I activate Accesscode's effect, by banishing Phoenix in my grave, I destroy your Set card!" Re: Anima declares.

"*Gasp!* Not my Pyramid Turtle!" Freud shouts.

"Next, I banish Cerberus in my grave to destroy Vampire Lord!" Re: Anime declares once more.

"No! Not my Ace!" Freud shouts in horror.

"Vampire Lord's effect lets him return to the field during the next Standby Phase. However!" Re: Anima poses with much flair. "There will be no next turn for you! Accesscode Talker attacks for game! Access Deletion!"

"Gwaahhhh!!!!!!" Freud falls over and rolls to the other side of the room, hitting the wall forcefully.

"Freud, what in Enma's court are you doing?"

"Immersion." Freud puts a thumbs up.

"Fl-Floyd-san, a-are you okay?! Y-You made a funny action, but still!" Re: Anima stutters.

"Tis fine, Rianima-dono. I did a much riskier performance back in the monastery a long time ago. This is still within acceptable limits." Freud responds as he gets up.

Nande??? What's the point of being a clown if you get hurt so badly??? You'd scare the kids!

"Oh, o-okay then. But Floyd-san, I suggest you use the newer cards if you truly want to build a Vampire deck. Blood Sucker? Vampire Lady? Call of the Mummy? No-one uses those cards anymore. The meta is too 'advanced' for them." Re: Anima states.

"The newer cards have too much text and their artworks are not as good. I know my tastes and I know that my deck is too weak, but still, better lose with what you like than to be defeated with what you hate." Freud says.

Wow, that's weirdly philosophical.

"So you're not planning to win anyway, Floyd-san?" Re: Anima asks.

"Rianima-dono, the terms that I have stated for this duel is that the loser must go buy groceries. While it is not so important to be wagered on, I wanted you to understand that sometimes you have got to fight for the things that might not matter in the end. This time, I went easy on you, but the next time-" Freud grins menacingly "I will not hold back."

Frightened by his piercing gaze, the dollish girl freezes up like a statue.

*Sigh* Kono baka kyuuketsuki.
