"Oh definitly. Since you were brought on deck wounded it was was such a thick tension on the ship you could literally cut it with a knife. And your brother was mad yesterday. Like really mad. He wanted to fight Caspian so badly", told Lucy her.
"That sounds... not so reassuring. Well I'm going to get changed and then we will see how it goes, won't we?"
---
When Melody stepped on deck she anticipated a lot, but not an uncoordinated Eustace fleeing from Reepicheep while running over half of the crew.
"Well, that was not what I expected", admitted Melody to Lucy.
"Seems interesting. Let's check it out." Smiling, both girls followed Reepicheep who ran behind Eustace, mocking him.
"We're on a boat, you know", Reep exclaimed, having swung in front of Eustace with a rope and held his mini sword to his face.
"Look, can't we just discuss this?", begged Eustace, slightly panicked, not wanting to confront the sharp blade of Reepicheep.
"What did he do?", asked Melody to no one in particular.
"I don't know. But that makes it far more interesting", answered Caspian her who seemed to appear out of nowhere, startling both girls. He turned to Melody and leaned towards her, still concerned for her health. "Are you alright?"
"Never been better."
"That was for stealing", exclaimed Reepicheep, cutting Eustace's shirt and letting the others see the orange he hid. Reep stabbed the orange and brought it back to him. "And that was for lying." He next swung the orange at him, hitting Eustace in the face. "And that was for good measure."
Reepicheep began to laugh. He wanted to provoke Eustace seeing if the boy had the slightest will for physically fighting back in his veins.
Eustace tightend his grip around the long kitchen knife that nearly looked like a blade, not wanting to endure the humiliation. He swung at Reepicheep who dodged it easily and jumped over to the reling.
"That's the spirit! We have ourselves a duel", he retorted happily. "Catch!"
He threw the orange to Drinian who caught it easily. The captain just smiled knowing how this fight will end. This little boy won't be able to go against the fast and agile mouse.
"Now, come on. Take your best shot", Reep ordered him.
"I claim Reepicheep is going to win", told Melody Lucy. "I want to bet on Eustace but he has no chance against Reep."
"Yeah, you're right. But I think he will learn quite a bit from Reep."
"He's certainly good at teaching when he can provoke people."
"That Reepicheep for you", Lucy laughed slightly.
"Is that it? Come on, boy!", Reep taunted Eustace who made a poor attempt at swinging at him. "Focus! Focus! Yes!"
Eustace was getting better by the second, anger flaring his ambition to win against Reep.
"Now, stop flapping your wings like a drunken pelican. Poise!"
Neither Lucy and Melody nor Edmund and Caspian could surpress the laughter because Reepicheep had a point with his statement.
"Keep your blade up. Up, up! that's it. Now...", ordered Reepicheep him before jumping on him and running to the other side of the ship wanting Eustace to follow him who stumbled at the impact.
Reepicheep ordered him several other things to improve his fighting stance while prancing around on the reling.
Eustace took several stabs towards him always missing by a fairly space, before Reepicheep lurched backwards.
