Clary
Clary woke up to the sound of arguing that seemed to be coming from downstairs. She got up, looked around, and realized that she was in Jace's room at the Institute. That explained the arguing. It was probably Alec and Isabelle bickering over breakfast.
Since Clary often stayed over at the Institute, she had a drawer in Jace's dresser that was full of her clothes. She walked over to the dresser and picked out a white lace tanktop, ripped jeans, and a pair of black converse. Then Clary quickly combed her hair and raced downstairs to see what all of the commotion was about.
"I WANT TO SEE SIMON. I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM SINCE THE WEDDING!" said a female voice. Clary could tell that was Isabelle.
"HE DOESN'T EVEN REMEMBER YOU! WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE HIM?!"
Cautiously, Clary walked into the kitchen and saw Isabelle standing near the oven, which appeared to be in use, and Jace, who was sitting on the stools at the counter. Isabelle's face was red hot from yelling, and Jace looked both annoyed and angry.
Jace turned and saw Clary standing there and said, "Clary, can you please tell Isabelle that she shouldn't see Simon because he is still trying to process everything that has been going on, and that forcing herself on him is a bad idea?"
Isabelle rolled her eyes. "Seeing Simon is not a bad idea! Clary can you please tell your stubborn-ass boyfriend that he is being unreasonable, and that Simon does remember me because we hung out at the wedding?!"
Just as Jace opened his mouth to protest, Clary said, "I think it's a good idea to see Simon. Lets all go. Jace, you go get Alec and have him invite Magnus to come along as well!"
Isabelle smiled. "Great! I'll even bring these cookies over for him too!" She opened the oven and pulled out a tray of a dozen or so burnt cookies.
Jace frowned. "I don't think you should bring him burnt cookies Isabelle."
"Yeah, your probably right," Isabelle said as she threw them in the compost bin. "I'll go get Alec and Magnus."
As Isabelle walked out of the room, Jace walked over to Clary and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Are you mad at me for taking Isabelle's side?"
"No. It's fine. I know you miss him too."
Clary sighed. "I really do. And he's going to go off to Idris for the Shadowhunter Academy soon, so I don't know when I'm going to see him again."
"Oh yeah. I forgot about that." Jace grabbed Clary's hand and said, "Come on. Lets go get ready."
Isabelle
It's almost been a week since she last saw him, and he had barely remembered her then. Isabelle had missed him like crazy. Hopefully, this time Simon would know who she was, or at least remember more from their time together.
Standing in front of her full body mirror, Isabelle held too dresses up, trying to decide whether to go with the long red dress that had a cut on the side, long sleeves, and low v-neck, or with the simple, short, black dress. Thinking that the long dress was too much, she threw it on her bed and put on the black dress. On the way out her bedroom, she threw on some knee-high black high heel boots and the silver whip/bracelet that Isabelle's dad had gotten her for Christmas when she was younger.
Isabelle walked quickly to Alec's room and banged on the door, hopefully waking up Alec in the process. To her surprise, Magnus was the one who answered to her loud knocking.
"May I help you Ms. Lightwood?" asked the High Warlock of Brooklyn.
"We are all going over to Simon's. Do you guys want to come too?"
