Clary

"Surprised to see me?" asked Bethany.

"No not really. I was expecting you would pop out of nowhere, I just didn't know when," said Magnus.

Bethany's eyes flickered to the vial in Clary's hand. "So she told you how to kill me already? I'm that late? Wow."

"It's not a surprise. You were always late to parties and stuff when we were younger," said Vanessa.

Bethany looked at her sister, and smiled. "Ah, little sister. And little brother too? I didn't expect to see you two here. I thought you'd have gone back home now, let the big guys handle it."

"I'm swear, I'm going to shove your head so far up your ass..."

"Woah there Nessa, cussing again? What do you think mom and dad will say to you if they heard you say that? Oh wait, they can't, because they're dead."

Both Vanessa and Kyle let out a gasp.

"No, you didn't, you wouldn't." Tears were streaming down Vy's face. Clary wanted to walk over and comfort her, but Isabelle and Alec, who were standing behind her, was blocking her way.

"I did. Mom and dad never loved me. They only loved you two. When I left the Institute, they were happy. They may have acted like they weren't, but it was just all for attention. Our parents were attention seekers who just wanted the name Ravenstorm to be more known, but that's kind of hard when our family isn't as messed up as Clary's or Jace's."

"You did not just say that," said Clary, her face hardening.

"Oh, I think I just did. There's also the fact that nothing happens in New Jersey, but that's besides the point. Mom and dad never loved me. They didn't want me in their lives, so I just got rid of them. What's the point of having parents that don't love you?" Bethany shrugged, like killing your parents was something that a person would do everyday like eating or sleeping.

"You obviously have some family problems too," said Alec.

"Alec Lightwood, the Shadowhunter who is dating a warlock. A guy warlock at that. How disgusting," Bethany spat.

"Wow. A murderer, a psychopath, and a homophobic. I bet you're a cat hater too. Chairman Meow will be very upset with the news. He likes to think that everyone loves him," said Magnus.

"Don't talk to me like that you warlock."

"You're racist too? You're basically Valentine with really dry and damaged hair."

Bethany rolled her eyes, then pulled out a sword. Clary recognized it as Heosphoros, the sword that Bethany had taken when she kidnapped Clary.

"I thought you'd want this back before I kill you all," said Bethany. She threw it like a football, with the pointed tip facing frontward. It flew towards Clary, but moved just in time so it wouldn't hit her. Instead, it got Isabelle on the shoulders.

Clary gasped as Isabelle staggered back towards Simon, who caught her and lowered her to the ground. She raced to Izzy's side, and pulled the sword out, which caused the blood to pour out of her even more.

Behind Clary, she heard fighting going on. The others had started attacking Bethany.

Pulling out a stele from her backpack, Clary quickly drew and iratze on Izzy's shoulder, and watched as the wound healed. Soon enough, Isabelle was up and ready to fight.
