Clary
Clary woke to her boyfriend, Kyle, who was vigorously shaking her awake.
"Babe, wake up!" said Kyle.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes. "What time is it?"
"It's six in the morning right now."
Clary groaned. "Why the hell did you wake me up so early?"
"My dad needs to speak to you."
Clary pretended to stretch, and used her outstretched hand to grab the pillow laying next to her. Then with one swift movement, she hit Kyle across the head with it. It made a loud thumping noise, but Kyle still stayed in his position.
"What was that for?" he asked, with a bit of annoyance in his voice.
"That's for waking me up so damn early." Clary got off the bed, wrapped her arms around his neck, and leaned in to kiss him, but Kyle stopped her with his hand.
"If you're going to kiss me, do it after you brush your teeth and get rid of that dragon breathe."
Clary rolled her eyes, then walked to the bathroom to take a shower. When she got out, she blowdried her hair, and brushed it. Then she walked over to her closet, and threw on a loose, red flowey tank top, black jeans, and her leather jacket. She finished off with her Shadowhunting boots, which were really just black combat boots.
Kyle was waiting outside the door for Clary. When she walked out, he smiled. "You look pretty today."
Clary smiled. "You say that everyday."
"Well it's true everyday."
She grabbed her boyfriend's hand, and they walked down to Mr. Ravenstorm's office together.
"So, what do you think your dad wants to talk to us about?" Clary asks.
"I don't know. I was grabbing water at around four, and my dad was in the kitchen. He told me to go wake you up because he needed to talk to us. It was 'urgent.'" Kyle said, making quotes with his one hand when he said urgent.
"Your dad talked to you at four, but you woke me up at six."
"I was still a little tired, so I slept for an hour and a half, then I woke up at five-thirty to get ready. Afterwards, I woke you up."
"Why didn't you just wake me up at five-thirty?"
"You were sleeping so peacefully, so I didn't wanted to delay waking you up as much as possible."
When they reached the door, they both walked in, still holding hands, and saw that Kyle's dad was sitting at his desk, and his mom was leaning against it with her arms crossed in front of her. Vanessa was there too, sitting on one of the sofas near the window with another girl. She was dressed in Shadowhunter gear and runes decorated her arms, so Clary assumed she was a Shadowhunter. The girl had dark, redish brown hair, and thick eyebrows.
"Father, you wanted to see me?" asked Kyle.
"Yes, please, sit down."
Kyle lead Clary to the sofa sitting next to the one Vanessa and the strange girl was at. When they sat down, Clary saw that both Mr. and Mrs. Ravenstorm had moved to stand in front of the neighboring sofas.
"First off," Eve, Kyle and Vanessa's mother, started, "We have a new Shadowhunter joining our Institute. She has been living a mundane life up until the war against-uh-"
"Please, I don't mind you saying my Sebastian's name. He never really was my brother. My brother never existed." assured Clary.
Eve nodded, then continued. "Up until the war against Sebastian Morgenstern, where she was put into very aggressive and quick training by the London Institute so she could fight. Her ascension was a quick one. Her Shadowhunter name hasn't been picked yet, but her name as of right now, is Lilly Collins."
