Clary

Clary would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous. It was her wedding day, of course she was nervous.

The past four months was just a whirlwind of wedding preparations. From dress fittings to cake tastings, Jace and Clary had done it all. Isabelle had coordinated their wedding, with a little help from Jocelyn. In the beginning, it was just Jocelyn, but she kept rambling on and on about how, "my baby Clary is finally getting married," and she would bring up embarrassing childhood memories, so eventually Clary had Isabelle take over. She was surprisingly good for someone who had never coordinated a wedding before. Sometimes she did require some help, which was when Jocelyn stepped in.

Looking into the mirror, Clary let out a shaky breathe and smoothed down her wedding dress. It was a gorgeous gold dress. The bust was decorated with gold jewels, and the skirt flared out at the waist. There were tiny rhinestones sprinkled around the skirt. The dress was both simple, yet elegant, perfect for Clary.

Isabelle had done Clary's make up and hair (of course), and it looked amazing. The makeup looked natural, her face seemed like it was glowing. Clary wasn't sure if this was from the makeup, or if it was because she was getting married to the love of her life. Her hair was pulled in an up-do, with curly red pieces of hair pulled out near the front to frame her face. Clary felt like a princess. Now, all she had to do was make sure she didn't stumble and fall down. The heels she was wearing were so uncomfortable, even though she and Izzy had spent hours finding the most comfortable heel out there.

Suddenly, Izzy came running in, telling Clary that it was time. Letting out yet another shaky breathe, Isabelle led Clary out of the dressing room that was in the back of The Accords Hall, and made their way to the front door, using the outside entrance. At the front, Luke was standing in a black tux, looking at the large doors of the hall.

"Hey," said Clary, walking up to him.

"Clary," said Luke, smiling. "You look beautiful. Your mother would be so proud of you if she could see you right now."

"I saw her for a bit while Isabelle was doing my hair, but she wouldn't allow mom to come back in. I think she said something about wanting this to be a surprise, I don't know. I was too nervous to pay attention."

Before Luke could respond, Isabelle came rushing over, her off-the-shoulder red dress flowing behind her. "I'm going to go in and get everything set up. I want you to count to fifteen, then enter, okay?"

"Okay," said Clary as Luke nods. With a last thumbs-up and a hug, Izzy disappears into The Accords Hall.

Luke starts counting to fifteen out loud. With each number getting closer to fifteen, the quicker Clary's heart beat. Even though she was nervous, she felt like it was a good nervous, if there was even such a thing as a good nervous. It was something that she expected to feel.

"It's time, let's go," said Luke holding out his arm. With a smile, Clary wrapped her free arm around Luke's arm. It felt reassuring, having him here. Luke was the only father figure Clary had ever had. Her real dad was an evil psycho who didn't care enough for her. Nonetheless, Clary would've have had it any other way. She couldn't imagine anyone else being her father besides Luke.

The two made their way to the front of The Accords Hall. There were two people on either side of the large doors, who gently pushed the door open, revealing a room full of people. There were rows upon rows of people. Many of them, Clary recognized, like her mother, the Lightwoods, Magnus, and his and Alec's son Max. Even Emma, Jem, Tessa, and the Blackthorns were there, looking at Clary and smiling warmly.

The isle seemed endless almost. Clary felt like she for sure was going to trip. At the end of it, standing on the low steps, was Jace.

He stood there in black ceremonial gear with gold runes decorating it. Looking at Jace made all of Clary's nerves just go away. All of her fears of tripping down the isle, or forgetting her vows just disappeared, and all she saw was Jace.
