It's been three days since the death of Matt Donovan. It was a devastating tragic throughout the town. His funeral was going to be held at the cemetery in two days. Bonnie had spent those last three days trying to bring him back, but it was no use. The ancestors wouldn't listen to her anymore.
The gang knew who was responsible of his death, but they haven't seen Axel ever since. Meanwhile, the three Mikaelson siblings were grieving of the death of their brother Finn.
Rebekah walked into the house, only to see her mother standing by the fireplace. Esther turns to look at her.
"Mother." Rebekah said barely a whisper before speeding up to her, grabbing her neck and pinning her to a wall." Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now." Rebekah told her." because I'm dying." Esther told her.
"How are you dying?" Rebekah asked her, letting her go." I thought Ayana preserved your body with a spell." Esther turns to her." She did. I'm drawing my power from the bennett bloodline. When abby died, the connection was severed. So my body has weaken." Esther told her.
"If you've come to spend your last moments with your loving daughter, prepare to be disappointed. You should have spent less time plotting my dead." Rebekah told her." Is that what you think I've been doing on the other side? I've been looking over you for 1000 years of joy and heartbreak. Your fights with Klaus. The nights you cried yourself to sleep, calling out my name. Not a day has gone by that I wasn't right there with you." Esther told her, walking up to her.
"And yet, you still tried to kill me." Rebekah said as tears formed in her eyes." because it shouldn't have been 1000 years, Rebekah. No one should live that long.." Esther informed her." But I haven't lived at all." Rebekah said, her voice cracking every second.
"I'm sorry, Rebekah. I am so, so sorry." She said before slowly grabbing her daughters hand. Esther's body begin to shake as she fell to the ground. Soon klaus came into the room.
"What's going on?" He asked and she turns to him." She's dead." Rebekah said before looking at him.

Axel stood by the school as he watched Caroline come out of it. She saw him before deciding to go another way. He follow behind her as she quickly tried to go to her car. When she tried to get in, he stopped her.
"You really avoiding me right now Miss. Forbes." He said and smiled." go away, murderer." She told him, but he didn't budge." look I know you're probably mad that I kill your friend Matt, but he had it coming." Axel told her and she rolled her eyes.
"You know, I started to actually believe you were the better Mikaelson. I thought that you were different than all of your other siblings but I see I was wrong. You're just like them." She told him.
