Caroline Forbes stood silently at the entrance of the dimly lit cell, her heart heavy with grief and confusion. She couldn't decide whether to confront Davina once more or not. Fearing that she would lash out like the last time

As she took hesitant steps forward, the heavy door creaked, echoing the torment within her soul. The presence of darkness seemed to seep through the very walls, clinging to every corner of the room. It was in this darkness that Davina was consuming her body.

Davina sat on the cold stone floor, staring at her hands, her eyes glazed with an emptiness that pained Caroline deeply. Her long dark hair cascaded around her face, framing features that were once filled with warmth and light, now consumed by shadows.

Unable to bear the silence any longer, Caroline finally found her voice and softly called out, "Davina?"

Davina's head snapped up, her eyes narrowing with a mixture of anger and sadness. "What do you want, Caroline?" she spat, venom dripping from her words.

Caroline took a deep breath, gathering herself for what she knew would be a difficult conversation. "I... I just needed to see you. To understand... why."

"Why?" Davina scoffed, bitterness lacing her tone. "You want to understand why I killed your best friend? Is that it?"

Tears welled up in Caroline's eyes as she struggled to maintain her composure. "Yes, Davina. Because right now I am battling whether or not to help you or to kill you."

Davina's expression softened for a fleeting moment, a flicker of regret crossing her features. "Caroline," She began, "you have to understand that there is darkness within me. The blood of a god and a witch flowing through my veins creates a constant battle within my soul."

Caroline took a step closer, her heart aching with empathy. "But you're not alone, Davina. We can help you fight this darkness together."

Davina let out a bitter laugh, her eyes brimming with tears. "Help me? You don't understand, Caroline. No one can help me. I am cursed by my very existence."

Caroline reached out, her fingertips gently grazing Davina's cold cheek. "You are my best friend, Davina. And if your family's love can conquer all, then we can find a way to free you from this curse."

Davina pulled away, her eyes now filled with anger as she unleashed her pent-up frustration. "You didn't include yourself this time, did I finally break you to the point where you no longer want to be a part of my family?"

Caroline gasped, shocked by Davina's words. "Your family has done a lot, Davina.

"Davina sneered, her voice laden with bitter truth. "Right, you mean the fact that my family tried and did kill your friends in Mystic Falls and I murdered your friend here." Caroline looked at her shocked.
