Axel awaited the arrival of Hayley and Klaus. Hope laughed as Axel lightly tickled her stomach. When he looked up, he saw a car approaching with a woman getting out and rushing toward them. It was likely Hope's mother, he could assume.
In Axel's hands, Hayley's daughter caught her attention. Axel observed Klaus exiting the vehicle and approaching them. As the two parents finally got a chance to look at their child after several weeks apart, Axel gave Hope to her mother.
"I appreciate you looking after her, brother." Hayley grinned at Axel and thanked him as Klaus said." It was nothing, and I was glad to help." He said as he led the family inside. Axel and Klaus were in the hallway by the basement as Hayley and Hope sat on the couch.
"Could have told me he wasn't thinking clearly. He attempted to murder Davina if I didn't bring Hope." Axel said as he unlocked the basement door." We promise not to let it happen again." Axel raised an eyebrow at Klaus as he said this. He was never the one to apologize.
"Hope not. I already have the girl's mother trying to kill her; the last thing I need is for her uncle to follow suit." Axel informed Klaus as he lifted Elijah off the ground and dragged him into a room.
"Furthermore, I personally invite you to Hayley's wedding, which is taking place in a few weeks." Axel looked at Klaus as he said this to him." What do you mean, when and with whom is she getting married?" Axel questioned him.
"She's getting married to another werewolf in New Orleans; we need the wolves' support to gain allies. If she marries the alpha, the pack will gain hybrid-like abilities. It would give them the power to not change every full moon. Axel was simply staring at Klaus as he spoke to him.
"It's a lot to process." Klaus laughed and nodded in agreement when Axel said this." Yes, a lot has happened. Where is the lovely Caroline, by the way?" No one besides the original family could be heard inside the house when he asked.
She returned to Mystic Falls to say her final goodbyes because her mother is dying of cancer." Klaus frowned at Axel after what he said. Give her my condolences when she returns." Soon after Klaus said it, Elijah awoke.
"At last you are awake." As Elijah turned to face his brothers, who were both present, Axel said." What have you done to me?" Angry at Axel, Elijah questioned.
"You tried to murder my daughter. I had to do something. Axel told him as he looked at Klaus. " Make yourself at home." Before leaving the room, he told him." We have a lot to discuss, brother." Elijah looked at Klaus as he said this.

Hayley closed the door to Hope's room before heading to the guest living room to see Elijah sitting there.
