Chapter 6: 'hey Dawson' Casey said with a smile 'oh hey Casey' before they could continue their conversation the alarm rang. As they arrived on scene Casey opened up the back of a mini van and jumped in to help a woman 'Dawson we need help in the mini van' ok I'm on my way Casey'. As they got the victim out of the car, the car set on flames 'DAWSON!' Casey yelled as he shielded her with his body, once the car had been put out Dawson climbed out and Casey after her. ' you ok?' Casey said trying to catch his breath 'I'm good' Dawson said with a nod. * later that day* Dawson knocked on Casey's office at the firehouse 'it's weird not having shay here' she said, Casey glanced at her 'you can't always be best friends with someone when you're in charge of them, don't beat yourself up about it' Dawson nodded 'thanks' she said quietly as she headed for the door 'I've been thinking about It and.... The truth is.... I don't know where I'd be without you' Casey said, Dawson stood there speechless and then the alarm rang and she walked out the door Leaving Casey to think about how to say it to her properly and how to show her he loves her.
