Chapter 136: everyone was sitting down and talking while Dawson and Casey sat in silence, just listening to everyone speaking, Casey looked over at Dawson and gave her a warm smile as he placed his hand on her leg, Dawson smiled before leaning in and kissing him, it wasn't long before something was thrown at them and when they looked up they saw Hermann looking at them 'would you two get a room!?' Casey smiled 'hey, this is my first shift back after an accident, now shut up' Hermann chuckled silently 'yes lieutenant'. Dawson stood up from the table and walked in the direction of the bathrooms, Casey watched her leave and was fidgeting with the napkin on the table until Severide spoke up 'case, you okay over there?' He said making Casey jump 'uhm... Yeah... I'm just gonna go do some paper work' he said standing up from the table, He was leaving the room while looking at his phone and hit his shoulder against the wall 'damn it!' He hissed, earning a laugh from everyone in the room 'lover boy a bit distracted lately, hey?' Casey rolled his eyes and left the room. He walked into his office, closed the door and turned around to see Dawson sitting on his bed, he jumped back with a yell, Dawson looked up 'baby? What's wrong' Casey shrugged 'I just didn't know you were in here', Dawson smiled and laid down as Casey slipped off his shoes and laid down next to her 'are you okay, baby?' Dawson asked as she put her hand on his chest, Casey sighed 'yeah, I'm alright, just a bit distracted because it's my first shift back after the accident' Dawson smiled and kissed him 'okay, just tell me if something's wrong, please' Casey smiled and nodded 'cross my heart' Dawson climbed on top of him and kissed him, Casey pulled back 'Mmm... Hey, I just gotta make sure the door's locked' Dawson smiled and got off him and watched as he locked the door and turned around taking off his shirt and walking back to Dawson 'I love you' Casey said in between kisses 'i love you too' she said pulling off her shirt and biting her lower lip as she pulled him down onto the bed again, Dawson laid on top of Casey as they continued their make out session, just as Casey was about to unclip Dawson's bra there was a knock at the door, he detached his lips from Dawson's with a groan 'who is it?' He asked 'it's chief, can I talk to you for a minute?' Casey looked at Dawson 'uh, yeah, I'll be at your office in five' he replied knowing chief wouldn't take too kindly to seeing Casey shirtless and Dawson in only a bra, chief chuckled to himself 'is Dawson in there with you or something Casey? You seem off' Casey swallowed thickly 'no chief, she isn't, I last saw her in the common room' Chief laughed 'okay, see you in five' Casey exhaled 'alright chief'. Casey looked back at Dawson 'that was close' Dawson said letting out a breath she didn't know she was holding, Casey laughed 'yeah, I know' he said as he got up from the bed and put his shirt back on, Dawson looked confused 'where are you going?' She asked 'going to talk to chief' he said putting his shoes back on 'okay, finish this later?' She said with a puppy face, Casey laughed 'yes, we'll pick this back up later' he said leaving the room.
