The place was a mess with broken test tubes, racks shattered, and tables turned over in the corner. They ran over to the corner where the teacher's desk was. The teacher and five other students hid there and they scooted over with them and watched as the morning announcements TV went on. Everyone shifted to watch. Big brown eyes flooded the TV screen and Zoe's straight straight brown hair was now disheveled and her soft voice filled everyone's ears but before she spoke, Chloe flung to her feet and swung the door open.
The science teacher screamed. "Stay here! Shes going to the TV room... That's where she is," he pointed to the TV before sprinting after Chloe.
Jenny stared with a panicked expression into the TV screen.
Zoe's voice filled the room. "You all have probably heard this a million times: never give up but just think... Have you ever though about the person who told you to never give up? They never had their parents murdered right before their very eyes or have this happen to them," she pulled her hair up, revealing a dozen nasty scars all over the back of her neck to the camera.
"Trust me when I say this, that there's many more. I've been dealing with this since the eighth grade but a conversation I had earlier was, It's funny how often when you wish to scare another, you end up scaring yourself, but I notice that this whole time I wish I could scare away the memories but..."
She shot to her feet and ran to the TV room as Bill took off after her. "Kendall, he told us not to leave! We're not safe!" She kept running.
Zoe's sad and deep, dark brown eyes couldn't leave her brain.
She heard her voice echo down the hallway. "I just keep scaring everyone and myself."
She caught up to Chloe and the science teacher, banging and screaming on the TV room door.
"But guys remember: I'm not even awake, really. In fact, I've been dead for three and a half years."
Things slowed down as Kendall watched Zoe grin and pull a gun into her mouth. She didn't even hear a gun shot go off in her buzzing ears but sees the blood splatter against the white wall behind Zoe's body. The second that Zoe's body fell off the stool that she was sitting in only seconds earlier, Chloe's body fell to the ground as a blood curtailing screech pierced the air but Kendall heard none of it. She watched helplessly as the teacher grabbed Chloe's thrashing body, trying to calm her down. Kendall slowly fell back into Bill's arms and faded into black.
