She woke up with her mother's arms around her and silently got up to take a shower.

They sat silently, eating breakfast."Your friends are outside waiting for you."
She got up, quickly rinsing out her cereal bowl and went went outside, greeted by her group of friends.
She sighed, taking a seat next to Amanda. "How're you?"
Amanda shrugged as Jenny started the car. "I could be doing better."
She nodded, watching houses pass by the window.
Rose broke the silence. "I think something is up with Chloe. I haven't seen her since the funeral."
Angel turned around to face Rose. "That's what I think, too. Kendall told us that Chloe called her at like three in the morning on Tuesday."
Roses eyes widened. "Really? What'd she say?"
She was still a little suspicious of Rose but answered slowly. "I was asleep. I did call her back when I woke up but it went straight to voice mail."
Rose closed her eyes thoughtfully. "Something must be wrong. I can feel it."
Angel sighed, closely studying Kendall. Jenny drove silently.
Amanda exhaled loudly, breaking the silence. "After school maybe we can go looking for her. We'll have to go to her house and ask her parents if they've seen her."
Everyone silently agreed.
When they finally arrived at school, Kendall was filled with dread. She slowly stepped out of the car. Amanda was eager to see Sam and therefore was walking to far ahead of Kendall. She tried calling out to Amanda to slow down but not before Colin walked over to her.
He studied her. "Something's wrong. What's up?"
She kept her head down and increased her speed. "Leave me alone."
Colin stopped walking and stood in the midst of everyone. "What?"
She didn't stop and he chased after her. "What happened?"
She turned around to face him. "Colin, you don't have to pretend anymore. I already know."
He was dumbfounded. "Know what?"
She scoffed and kept walking. "Like you don't know."
He ran after her. "I honestly don't know what you're talking about."
She stopped walking, standing in the middle of the hallway with her back to him. "I found that marker in your backpack yesterday."
He squinted his eyes at her even though she couldn't see him with her back to him. "What marker? I have highlighters, sharpies-"
She turned around and cut him off. "-a marker that Angel used to write me a message with."
He laughed harshly. "After all that has happened, you actually think that?"
She swallowed hard. "Colin, there's no reason to deny it anymore."
A lump formed in his throat and he managed to croak out a response. "Well, Kendall, I hope you find out the truth tomorrow."
After that, he walked away, leaving Kendall alone. As a tear trickled down her cheek, someone wrapped their arms around her.
"Why so sad?"
She quickly wiped her tears away, turning to Bill. "It's just hard-- being stalked all the time."
He gave her a hug that came along with the butterflies she felt every time she saw him. "I'm so sorry."
She took a big gulp of air. "I also found out that Colin has been one of the people stalking me."
He clenched his teeth. "I'm going to beat the living shit out of him the next time I see him."
"We both know the consequences of doing that."
He shrugged. "It'd still be worth it."
"No it's not. Please don't do that."
He sighed. "Okay."
"Promise?"
He shoved his hands into his pockets. "Yeah."
"I know I've been really distant lately and I'm sorry for that. I really am. It's just been hard."
Bill forced her a smile. "It's okay. I understand."
She hugged him and muttered into his chest. "Thanks."
