Don't come at me... I have a thing for James, he's kinda sweet and cute. Let's not even.

James was walking along the decks, the evening was breezy and calm as the sea washed across the wood of the ship. He was thinking of you as he walked, smiling as he recalled some of the witty things you used to say when things were tense, and hard to deal with. Breaking the tension. Beckett soon joined him out in the decks, getting some fresh air.
"What are you doing up?" James asked.
"Needed some air, so much to do in so little time,"
James just laughed. "Yeah, your right,"
"Something on your mind, Admiral?"
"Yeah... nothing you need to worry about,"
"It's Y/N, isn't it. You wear that smirking grin every time she's on your mind. Have you heard from her?"
"Not since she has the baby, I can't wait to get home to her,"
Beckett simply hummed, and led James down the decks to a well lit room down the end. A woman's voice was singing a lullaby to a crying child, she looked up as soon as they both entered.
"I hope you don't mind, I had them bring your wife and child across to come and see you. You've been lacking attention. They will be returning immediately tomorrow afternoon to ensure their safety,"
"Y/N," he gasped, and ran over to you. He kissed your lips and hugged your tightly.
He then grabbed his son from underneath his armpits and placing him on his hip.
"You're getting massive," he exclaimed squishing the one chubby cheek. The baby giggled, made funny noises and slobbered on his jacket.
Beckett was watching on, he was mesmerised by the quick change from military perspective to a father figure.
"Would you like to hold him?" you asked Beckett. He shook his head. "Come on, he's going to be seeing you an awful lot after this one's promotion."
"Come on," James urged and passed your child to him.
As he entered his arms an immediate smile came across Becketts face, grinning from ear to ear at the child in his arms. He was truly adorable, pulling on the white curled wig, making him frustrated.
"I'm sorry, Lord," Norrington said, reaching to grab his son.
"No. Not to worry, as long as he's not reaching for a knife or sword."
