I hope this is okay... lets see if you like it :)

--

A storm had quickly brewed in the harbour as you stood on the edge of one of the piers that stretched out towards the see, holding a small green pendant to your chest. Despite the darkness that encircled you, it glowed so brightly reminding you that you were still alive, reminding the life that you had valued for so long still existed.

You were now a young woman, gorgeous, and beautiful. Your hair flowed against the waves of the wind that attacked your delicate skin, the sea threatening to rise and take you. Somehow, you were hoping it would, and another part just waited.

For a year now, you had fallen in love with someone people had told you not to. Someone who's heart seemed placed, and misplaced most of the time. never truly focussing on you. But, little by little you let is slide, your heart ruling your head, telling you that this was what you wanted, what you needed. Everything you did, your parents had to know, and so did he.

Restrictions were placed on your whereabouts as though you were a precious jewel a pirate might take. When in reality, you were more like a caged animal taken off the streets to them. Releasing the pendant you held in your hand, you sat down on the edge of the jetty, dangling your feet so they skimmed the surface of the water, just enough to keep you reminded that this was reality.

For once in your life you felt so devoid of love, so devoid of emotion and feeling that now everything collided into a heap that you wanted to rid yourself of. But, how? Behind you, the sound of someone out of breathe, heavy footsteps, suddenly stopped behind you.

"Get back home!" he shouted to her, putting his hand on her shoulder trying to drag her away.

She said nothing, instead, she snatched her shoulder back and shuffled back to position.

"Come on, Y/N! What is this? Why are you acting like this? You need to come back before the storm gets any worse,"

"I'm not going, Beckett," she wiped away a tear that had fallen from her eye, keeping her head looking forward, and her lips pursed together.

"Why not?" he faltered, pacing around, gently putting his hand on her shoulder again. "Why won't you come with me now?"

The darkness had moved in a lot more, the only visible light from the moon and swinging lamps of the doorsteps of some peoples houses.

"I don't have a reason to," she whispered, realising he couldn't hear her. "I don't have a reason to!"

"Of course you do," he placed his hands under her armpits to try and budge her, but she shrugged him off, and his eyes sank at the realisation of why she wouldn't move. "What has happened, Y/N?"

She finally turned around to face him, her hair behind her, some parts stuck to her skin. Rosy cheeks, bright red from the cold.

"What hasn't happened? I fell in love with you, and I don't think I can ever stop but all you offer me is a mixed relationship which I think... I know is merely just a prize for you, I am a prize for you, like that fat carcus of a pig the King finishes every week. It's simply a prize to show of his wealth and affluence. And, me... you only want me when you want to show me off,"

"That's not true..." she cut him off.

"Cutler, when was the last time you hugged me? When did you ask me how I was? Even something simple like, what are you reading?"

"I don't know... I don't know,"

"This is the point, you stopped loving me ages ago once you realised how much my presence can boost your own importance for others. I'm just a useless doll that you'll toss out like a kid does,"

"Y/N, I love you enough right now to know that I don't want you stuck out here, please come back with me and we can talk about it,"

"You want me to run? Into your arms and say, oh yes! Please, lets talk,"

"I didn't say that..."

"If you love me, or have any ounce of care for me then you will leave me here until I choose to return,"

"And what if you don't? I don't want you being stuck in your own head again, where you can't escape unless someone helps,"

"I don't need anyone else, I learned how to help myself, I had to. And, if I don't... then it's unavoidable,"

"So, you want me to leave you here? Is that what you want?"

She now stood up to face him looking into his deep blue eyes. Instead of his white wig, he had his brown hair lingering about his shoulders, loosely placed in a bun. Taking her hand, she took out the bun, putting her hands through his hair and just staring into his eyes. She turned her head, soflty planting a kiss to his lips, letting them linger on his to feel the warmth in his body. He took her head in his hands, looking at her now, he planted a small kiss to her lips, just wanting to feel it for a second time. He didn't realise how much he had missed it, being drowned by work, he has isolated the one woman, one person who had always cared.

"I can't leave you,"

"Why not?"

He held the pendant in his hand that was dimly glowing, not as bright.

"I can't let this light go out. I want to apologise say the things I never got to say, apologise again because I realise I still love you. And, even if this light suddenly ceases to glow, I'll find a way to bring you back to me... But, not like that prized carcus of a pig,"

she slightly smiled at him, putting her head on his shoulder. A flash of lightning broke them apart, shaking them awake.

"Come on, we need to go," he grabbed her hand, and she didn't shrug him off.

"Okay."
