Songs - she's thunderstorms - Arctic Monkeys

You were the most fearsome female pirate that had ever sailed the seas. You had guts that others wouldn't dare to have, even under the influence of alcohol. The wind was behind your sails as usual, your head on the horizon. Below decks was a prisoner you had taken from the last blasting of your cannon fire. He was a commodore from the port Royal Navy. He had been complaining about being trapped for ages. Usually you let people go, but there was something about him that made you want to keep him there.

"I'm going to my quarters, bring the prisoner up," you said to your first mate, who relayed the message to a crew mate as he took the helm. "Thank you."

You sat inside your quarters, sitting at the desk, writing down some ideas and notes in your ship log you kept. The door opened and revealed an exhausted looking commodore. He still looked clean and tidy like the first time he'd come aboard the ship.

"You requested me, Captain,"

"I don't like that mocking tone of yours, commodore,"

He laughed, perching himself on the end of the bed. You continued writing in the log book, you dotted your letters and crossed some of them. Opening the drawer, you dropped the book in, making him jump from the heavy thud in the wooden drawer.

"What were you doing trying to go through that storm?"

"What?"

"You were chasing after sparrow, weren't you?"

"I don't understand why you're asking me,"

"I'm asking, because I'm curious. Look, I'm heading to Tortuga and I figured if you wanted to leave them you can just get off there. It was a heads up,"

"If you want to know, then fine. I was chasing after sparrow, to regain my honour. In the end it's cost me my honour, losing all my crew and my ship,"

"Most people wouldn't have had the guts to do what you did sober. I applaud you for your courage. Let me give you a piece of advice, locking my brother up is like containing a butterfly in a cage with no walls. Butterfly's love to be free for the short amount of life they have,"

"Your brother?"

"Yes, I'm his sister. Y/N Sparrow,"

"That one's new, he never mentioned you were his sister,"

"We don't talk much, ever since I became who I am he hasn't set eyes of me again. I don't understand what happened, but he doesn't like what I became,"

"And what did you become?"

"You're excused," you waved him away.

"You're not a monster if that's what you think you are,"

"I said, you're excused, commodore."
