There it was. It had all been said, over and over again.

I don't love you, I love Elizabeth.
You mean nothing to me, get out of my sight.
Why do you keep pestering me?
It's not like you're anything special.
Why are you crying? You have nothing to cry about.
Such a baby, go and marry that bloke who sits with his dog and begs for money.
Don't expect me to care.

He'd left your company, leaving you relived of the heated argument you'd just had. Everything was blacking out, the sea was eerily calm. As your gaze shifted from crying, and the burning in your eyes, it soon blackened looking at the sea. Everything darkened, your eyelids closed, and your body slipping over the edge.

"Y/N!" he shouted, the argument coming out of his mind immediately.

The heavy material flapped in the wind as your body dropped to the rocks, plunging to the depths. Somehow this was what you wanted. Everything you thought about yourself was true in his eyes, he stood looking at you over the edge, unwilling to dive in after you.

"Quickly! Come on, move it, we need to get down there," he shouted, everyone running down toward the docks.

By now the waves eased your body, almost making you weightless. The constricted corset in your waist was preventing you from breathing at all, not even a little bit. How could you? Despite wheeling weightless, the water weighted your body down to the sea floor. An abnormality.

A pirate was sat at the edge of his boat, after recently docking in port royal. He saw the argument unfold, and dove in after you as you collapsed into the sea.  Once he was down, he scooped your body in ease, swimming upward to the surface with you. He stroked your soft cheek with his finger, feeling no life in your skin. Hoisting you up onto the wood of the decks, he grabbed a knife cutting your corset, you gasped for air as it was unleashed.

"There we go," he said, wiping a drop of water from his face as it came running down. "Come on, come around."

The men of the navy came running down with the potential suitor of yours, just looking down at the pirate holding your delicate body, helping you recover from the impact.

"Get away from her!"

"Now, mate. There's no need to be like that," he stood up away from your body whilst you regained consciousness. "There's no way I'm letting you have her."

"And, why's that? Why not, Mr Sparrow?"

"Because, you're a nasty bloke. And, you don't have honourable intentions with this lady, do you mate?"

"And you have honourable intentions, pirate!" he spat, you rose from the floor not too sure what was happening, your eyes already threatened to burst again after what had happened a few minutes ago.

"I may be a pirate, and I may be lax in my morals sometimes. But, I know go respectfully treat a woman. A leaf you should take out of my book," Jack smirked, and turned to you after seeing you.

"Take her, for all I care. It's up to her anyway,"

"Exactly what I thought..." Jack rolled his eyes, and gave you his hand. "... would you like to come with me?"

You looked between Jack and the potential suitor of yours. "I don't know. I don't know, Mr Sparrow. I'm eternally grateful that you saved my life, but this is my home."

"So she doesn't want to leave," the man snarled, laughing in a mocking way. "Surprise. Surprise."

"William, get out of my sight," you snapped, getting up from the deck.

"What did you say?" he asked walking up to you.

It intimidated you, but there was no backing down now for his satisfaction.

"I said, get out of my sight," he slapped you around the face, and you held the area he had slapped.

"Not cool, mate," Jack said, pulling out his pistol and aiming it at his head. "I'd respect the ladies wishes if I were you."

He begrudgingly left, walking away, Jack kept his gun trained on his head.

"You saved me," you said to Jack, placing your hand in his shoulder. "Thank you, Mr Sparrow."

"Please, call me Jack,"

"Okay then, Jack. Thank you. I really appreciate your offer, of taking me with you. But, I'm not entirely sure what to do. I mean, I'd be so much better off,"

"I'm going to tell you a story, love. Have you ever heard of Elizabeth Turner, or Elizabeth Swann?"

"Yes! I used to be friends with her,"

"Well, in that exact spot you feel from, she did too. When Norrington proposed to her. Ever since that, she triggered the response of Barbossa's dead crew, they came for her. Once she was captured, she ended up falling in love with the sea and becoming the pirate king. She was happier when she was free from fools like him,"

"And I'd be happier being free?"

"It depends, do you enjoy your life here?" you shook your head. "If you come on one voyage with me, for a week, and you don't enjoy it then I'll bring you back. You can blame it on being kidnapped by pirates, they will believe you."
