I couldn't believe him. A 4 year long relationship down the drain in a matter of 5 seconds. I just saw Sam cheating on me with some blonde bimbo he probably met at the bar.

I said "What the hell Sam! You threw 4 years of our relationship away, go with your blonde hair bimbo and stay the hell away from me."

He said "y/n wait, let me explain." I said "there's nothing to explain Sam! You cheated on me and I saw what was happening."

I headed upstairs to pack, I wanted to leave Montreal for a while. Once I finished packing, I loaded up my car and drove to Washington.

I was going to live with my brother Nic Dowd, I needed to get out of this house for a while. I booked a flight for Tuesday morning, it was Tuesday and it was early.

It was 2:00am and I headed to the airport. I got through airport security and headed to the gate where I was gonna board my flight.

I boarded my plane at 3:30 am, I texted my brother and said "Hey I just boarded a plane to DC, I'm sorry if it's to earl but I need you to pick me up at like 9 am."

I put my phone away and waited for his response. 20 minutes passed and I got a reply from Nic, he said "alright just let me know when you land in DC, I'll see you later little sis. One question though, why are you coming to DC?"

I replied with shaky hands "Sam cheated on me and I needed to get away from Montreal for a while."

He said "I'm gonna kill him, we play the Canadiens Saturday. If you don't want to go to that game that's totally fine with me. I'll see you soon sis I love you."

I replied with "I love you too Nic, I'll see you soon big bro." Turned my phone off and decided to take a nap, when I woke up there were about twenty minutes left on the flight.

When my plane landed and I texted my brother to come an pick me up. I waited for 15 minutes and He showed up, he said "I'm so glad you're here y/n."

I said "I'm glad to be home Nic, I wanted to get away from Sam. He cheated on me with some random girl from the bar threw 4 years down the drain."

He took me into his arms for a hug and I gladly accepted it. He said "he doesn't deserve you y/n, especially after he cheated on you. Come on I already got your room set up."

I headed to the room that my brother set up for me and I crashed on the bed. My eyes started to close and shortly after I was asleep, a few hours later I woke up to Nic shaking me.

He said "hey I'm going to get some food, do you wanna come with me?" I said "sure I haven't eaten anything yet."

We headed to downtown DC with a few of his teammates to grab some lunch. I zoned out, I was wondering what would've happened if I let him explain.

Garnet Hathaway said "Y/n you okay there sweetheart?" I said "oh what? Yeah I'm fine." He said "okay just let us know if something's wrong."

I smiled and planned to wait until Saturday to talk to him, I wanted him to tell me his thoughts. I waited for Saturday to come, it was now Saturday and I headed to the game.

Before the game started I saw Sam, he said "Hi Y/n, how are you?" I said "I'm fine, I'm gonna give you five minutes to explain yourself for the cheating incident."

He said "okay, I wasn't cheating on you. That was the lady that helps me pick out jewelry for you, I was asking her to help me pick out this.."

He pulled a box out from his bag and said "it's a promise ring, when you walked into the house I was just buying it for you. I'm sorry if it looked like something else."

I had tears in my eyes and said "I'm so sorry Sam, I should've let you explain this earlier. God, I feel like such a fool for this."

He grabbed my cheek and kissed me, he said "I love you so much y/n, I'm sorry for everything that happened a few weeks ago."

I said "I love you too sam, I forgive you. I'm sorry for accusing you of cheating." We kissed and that was probably one of the best nights ever.
