The bears were in a shootout against the Wilkes Barre Scranton's, Coach Todd Nelson had Sgarbossa go first. He shot it passed the goalie, we were up 1-0 in the shootout.

Vecchione went to hop over the wall to the bench when I heard the coach say "Vecchione stay here, y/l/n is going out there for you."

I looked at him with wide eyes and said "Me!? What no, I can't do that, I'm going to make us lose." He said "just get out there y/l/n." I hopped over the wall and started shaking in my skates.

I looked over at the bench and saw my brother and boyfriend. They mouthed "hey relax you got this kid/babe." I looked forward and took a deep breath.

I started my motion towards the net, the goalie positioned himself and I went to his blocker side. I made it into the net, I was so happy. I skated to the bench and the coach said "good job out there kiddo."

I said "thanks coach!" I watched as Zach blocked the next two shots. I hopped over the bench to congratulate him, i headed to the locker room with my boyfriend and he said "you got first star of game."

I said "I did?" He said "yeah you score game winner." I smiled and waited for my name to be called, I skated on the ice when it was called.

I tossed a stick over the glass and met the guy who did the post game interviews at center ice. Once I finished that, I headed to the locker room. The boys started to cheer for me and I said "what's this about?"

Sgarbossa my older brother said "You scoring your first ever shootout goal. I'm so proud of you kid." I smiled and said "thanks Mikey."

The post game talk was about us winning and I got the bear head that they had as a tradition. I gave my speech and I packed my stuff up to leave.

Protas came over and took my stuff, I said "what are you doing Pro?" He said "I'm going to help my love out, come on I take you home." I smiled and we locked arms, we headed to his car.

He said "you did well tonight babe, I know you was nervous but you ended up winning the game." He grabbed my hand and I smiled. I said "as soon as I get home I'm going to bed."

He chuckled and said "you want me to stay with you?" I said "sure, I would love to have my cuddles from you." He smiled and we headed inside.

Once we got upstairs, I took a quick shower and changed into my pajamas. I got into bed and Protas put his arms around me. He kissed my head and said "goodnight baby I love you."

I said "mmm I love you too." He chuckled because he could tell I was already falling asleep. I felt so safe and protected in his arms, he fell asleep shortly after.
